My lg g4 screen isn't nearly as responsive as my htc m8 or m9. And it doesn't always recognize my touch.

I am having the same problem with mine that I got yesterday. Double tap to open doesn't often work so the only way I can open it is with the power button. Slow or no response when I press on a link also.
Is there a way to disable the double tap option?

I've been seeing reports of this around the internet (google it). Mine, so far, has been fine.

I'm using the zagg hd screen protector, and it was also doing it before I put that on. My issue is that compared to my m8 and m9 you have to work a little slower and use more force when touching screen

Don't have a G4 yet but I did notice my G2 was less sensitive than my HTC DNA was. Perhaps it's a LG thing.

I am using the basic plastic skin protector, so there should be no reason for the non response at times.

Weird. I wasn't experiencing this until I installed tempered glass. I have used it (tempered glass) on all my phones and this is the first one it has affected. I might remove it. I don't want to, but I don't like the lack of response with the screen on the phone.

Mine seems pretty good except for the double tap to wake. It seems like maybe 25% of the time I have to do it two or three times.

My G2 screen was very sensitive overall, except from the knock on; sometimes I had to triple tap as it didnt register the first tap (happens only after screen was off for a while)

Don't have that problem on the G4.

Uh oh. I'm not experiencing it, but I ordered a tempered glass protector from Amazon. Luckily it wasn't very expensive. We'll see how it works!

Having the same issue and no screen protector. It doesn't always recognize my touches.

I was having issues till I took the factory screen protector off. I have had a couple time where double tap to wake won't work but much less issues without protector. It makes me nervous but bare screen is working way better for now.

First off the screen protector that comes on the phone in the box is just for shipping protection, it really isn't meant to be used that way.

On the tap to wake issue, all of my other devices have a certain speed of taps they are looking for. Too slow or too fast and it doesn't work. I'm always doing it too fast and missing it.

Yessss! This is the same thing that happens to me! I noticed this right off the bat. It's annoying really. I might be calling Verizon for a new replacement this week. Before my 2 weeks are up.

Fwiw, I took my screen protector off again, and the phone works much better. Bummer.
