LG G4 SOT

There's nothing wrong with your SOT. Gsam shows the average at 5 hours. Your screen shot at 18% was 3 hr 33 min. You could easily get to 4 hours maybe 4.5 SOT before the phone was completely dead. You also talked on the phone for an hour. Hardly anyone posting screenshots of battery life actually has voice calls in their battery usage. I had a 26 minute call today; that's more than I talk on the phone in a week sometimes. That 1 hour voice call chewed up 9% of your battery.

Internet (which I assume is your web browser?) used another 9%. Snapchat used another 4%. Apps all use different resources to function. Not everyone uses the same apps.

I don't see anything wrong with your stats. Nothing is running rogue. It's just the way you use your phone.
Ok let me test it more and see what i get with gsam. I see some people saying they easily get 5hours plus SOT but let me see how i go with further tests

I feel pretty confident in saying that nobody is getting 5 hours "easy." We all put work in to tweaking and trial and error to try and optimize our phones. The trick is to lessen the impact (or eliminate when possible) the things you don't care about while having the phone fucntion as you want it to for your own preferences and needs.

Your preferences and needs may require more juice than mine, and mine more than the next guy's.

I do not believe anyone here took his or her G4 out of the box and started from day 1 with SoT of 5 hours without making some adjustments.

So, just take what you read with a grain of salt, and realize each of our G4s is unique because no two of us use it exactly the same way.

I agree with what you say but im running minimum apps to eliminate load on battery. I reduced screen brightness to about 23%. For instance i dont understand how sony xperia devices achieve outstand SOT hours. Both operate on the same OS they must be doing something right.

I get 5 hours consistently on 50% brightness, removed recommended bloatware using debloater, have 2 emails syncing, fb, messenger, snapchat. It recharges from 0-100 in about 1.30- 2 hours. Very happy with this phone

When I originally got the phone, I went through the process of disabling all the apps that the phone would allow me to. I didn't feel that it helped me THAT much, so when I had to hard reset my phone recently, I decided to just leave them alone. I would consider myself a power user and have been pretty happy with the battery-life. I noticed that the battery that the phone came with doesn't quite last as long as the battery I received as part of LG's battery/SD card promotion. When I use my phone consistently, I can get between 3.5 - 5 HRS of SOT. If I don't use my phone too much (which is really rare), by the end of the day, I tend to be at around 10-15% battery life remaining, but my SOT is at around 2.5 - 3 HRS.

Keep in mind, one of the reasons I chose this phone over all current competitors is because it still offers a removable battery. That was probably the biggest selling point for me. I love being able to run my phone as long as I want, let it go straight to zero, then swap out my battery and charge the dead one. By the time the next one dies, I have a fresh one waiting in the wings.

Now, I am fortunate to work in an office where I can just leave my spare charging at any given moment, I realize that is not the case for most.

5 hours plus of SOT would be ideal. I am doing everything i can to achieve that. Im going to try debloater and see how that goes

Anyone use Qualcomm's Battery Guru app and notice any changes? I have it installed, but it's still in learning mode.

I've tried it in the past and didn't really notice anything significant. So, I haven't had it installed in quite a while.

Yeah, hopefully that works out for you. I have a feeling this phone is really going to go the distance once we get the update to Marshmallow and get that delicious DOZE feature.

Doze is for standby not for actual use time.

Hi guys what SOT hours are you achieving. I cant seem to get 3.5hrs and at most about 4hrs. I have seen some say they get around 6 hrs of SOT. i have my brightness on 35% all the time. 2 emails sync, snapchat and tapatalk. My standby times seems to be fine. I lose about 9% in 13hrs so that is goodz for me. However SOT is poor. What have you guys done to achieve 6 hours SOT
9% in 13 hrs is ok ? My g3 drops none in 12 hrs. Too bad i don't have a ss :(

After getting mine setup and usage t realized, I'm doing pretty good. I don't drain my battery below 40% if possible, so I'm only able to estimate. On a full charge, it looks like I should be able to hit 5-6 hrs SoT without much problem. I'll try to remember to get a screen shot after my next full cycle.

Yea thats good however standby time is not a big deal. Whats important is SOT. So tell me what your SOT is so i can have better understanding.

Yeah, I know, that's why I am thinking the days I don't use it very much and it just sits on my desk should really put less strain on the battery

What good is 4 hrs sot if the phone still can't make it half the day without charging. Just skimming through some stats most don't Make it pass 12 hrs.
