Personally, I'm very happy.
LG kept what made the G3 great and improved on its flaws while also making several improvements, especially that gorgeous IPS Quantum LCD 1440p display and monstrous 16MP f1.8 camera with Laser AF + color spectrum sensor. The software and UI, which is traditionally not LG's strong point, has been improved and while more work remains to be done, it's better than the G3's and definitely better than the G2's. While the SoC is a Snapdragon 808 instead of the more powerful 810, Qualcomm claims that it's designed specifically for the G4 and if it doesn't overheat, it should give more consistent performance and better battery life compared to the toasted 810. If you're a heavy gamer, however, this might not be the phone for you.
Their decision to retain both the microSD card slot and removable battery is a gigantic plus for me. And I'm eager to give the leather back a go. The LG G4 with the black leather back will be my next daily driver.
What are your thoughts on the G4? Do you think it will interest power users and former Samsung users attracted to previous Galaxy devices by their removable batteries and mSD slots, or do you think LG will truly dominate with the G5? Throw your opinions in the comments below.
