As for me, I have a VZW LG G3 that is turned on now but not doing anything that I got before buying the G4 and I can always go back to the Motorola Droid RAZR HD Maxx that I have here with the swollen battery with the cover that is half opened from the battery.
Sorry for the long posts yesterday as I was going through 80+ forums at the same time so I just wanted to give information to protect yourself from Verizon Wireless from screwing you over which happens more often than not. In any case, I found out who runs the Verizon Wireless call centers and who they actually work for as in the past, there were some Verizon Wireless Level 2 tech support representatives who told me to call them by sending me a email and there was a LinkedIn app update today which shows they actually work for Flextronics and do customer support for Verizon Wireless.
Flextronics is a part of Motorola, Inc from what I remember as they are the semi-conductor division of Motorola. Back in the late 90s and early 2000s before the Smartphones, the Motorola phones sold in the U.S. were made in China while the ones sold outside the U.S. were GSM and made by Flextronics in Singapore which was higher quality than the U.S. made ones. I still have my imported Motorola V80 from 2002. In any case, I bought my Black Leather LG G4 from bestbuy.com on July 31, 2015 and received it on August 3, 2015. In a final effort to try to get the Motorola Droid RAZR HD Maxx replaced as I really only needed a newer backside of the phone and a new battery, I called Verizon Wireless Level 2 support and got a clueless rep who told me to take it to a local Verizon Wireless Corporate Store which I did on August 7, 2015. They could not send out the replacement because they can only see IMEI's for up to 2 years while talking to level 1 support and customer service on the phone and my IMEI is from November 1, 2012 so the store rep went talking to the store manager and the resolution was to call Asurion and claim it's damaged. They told me to pay the $99 deductible first and when Asurion ships me a replacement, to bring both the old phone and the one Asurion shipped and they will credit my account for the $99 deductible except I called Asurion to ask and the claims process is not easy with a bunch of forms to fill out. The representative told me the deductible is $149 and not $99 and the other issue is that I should always go through warranty first because they only allow 2 claims a year and if you do 2 claims within 24 months, they will cancel my insurance. The problem is that you never know when you really might need the insurance so not risk using it for this claim.
So I called Verizon Wireless Level 2 tech support a few days later on August 9, 2015 who told me I didn't need to visit a store as all they really had to do was fill out a form that asked if I got injured or not from the phone. This representative said there were no same models available and will be sending out a brand new Motorola Droid Maxx 16GB in kit form which means the retail box with the charger, charger cable, NanoSIM pre-installed and the documentation in the retail box, same as what you would get when you buy the phone from the store. In fact, they even sent another NanoSim still in the packaging in the Warranty Folder that is sent with the replacement devices. She noted the account saying that if I am not satisfied with the replacement, to see if they can locate another Motorola Droid RAZR HD Maxx which has 32GB and told me to check once a week which I did so I received the phone on August 11, 2015 and basically held the phone for a month as they didn't have the one I want available and I was trying to decide if it was worth keeping which at the end, I didn't keep and they will basically send email(s) and SMS(s) telling you to return the phone, doesn't matter if it's the replacement or original. I no longer have the email(s) but this is a screenshot of the SMS using the Verizon Wireless Messages+ app on the LG G4, you can see they will start bugging you about 10 days after you receive the replacement and will continue...
