I'm really liking mine.
- Feels great in the hand. Don't understand some of the reviewers saying it doesn't "Feel premium".
- The lack of antenna bands gives a really clean seamless look. Once you've got used to the camera hump (Which only sticks out 1mm anyway), it looks lovely
- Lovely screen. Really clear, nice and bright, no issues with at all - and no light bleed even in a dark room.
- The size for me is pretty much perfect. Its big, but not unwieldy.
- Stupidly fast and smooth. I'm sure a lot of that is down to the SD820, but still. Yet to experience any lag or stutter in anything.
- LG UI - its alright you know! I was worried coming from stock (Nexus 5), but the LG UI isnt too different, and most of the extras they've put on are useful. I do miss the stock speed dial favourites in the phone app, and the fact you can't choose None as a default notification tone was silly (I had to download a 1-second of silence tone), but I've found more things i'm glad of, than dislike. Pleasant surprise.
- IR blaster and FM radio more useful than I expected
- Removable battery and SD card are obviously both great
- Fingerprint sensor is lightning fast, and very useful
- Call quality is several notches up from the Nexus 5 - really clear. I think it must be the ear speaker
- Also, the bottom firing speaker is really clear, and again, a significant upgrade for me. Not that I use the speaker much
- The battery charges insanely fast. if you are low, plug in for 20 mins, and you dont need to worry anymore
The one downside is the battery. I don't know how these people that claim to get 5 or 6 hours of SoT are doing it. For me, its about 2.5 hours. I do have bluetooth permanently on connected to my Huawei Watch, so maybe that doesnt help? Standby time is really good, but if you use a game, it drains fast. If anyone who has fantastic battery life wants to download Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, and play that for an hour, let me know what it does to your battery. Web browsing, facebook, and simple games its fine, but anything that taxes the graphics of the phone, in my experience, canes the battery. But then, in real world use its not a huge issue given you can replace the battery with a fresh one instantly, or it charges very quickly as I said before.
Cheers,
Kevin.
