LG G5 AUX Static

I have static on the music app and soundcloud and Google music. If I'm playing something and turn the volume down there is still static. I think its my car stereo. But not sure because other people are expieriencing it elsewhere

I have had my G5 for nearly 8 days now and I too have static when using the Aux cable. My previous phone which is a HTC M8 works fine, but the G5 gives total static. This is really annoying!

Also having the same problems with static in my car.
How can they not get a simple aux port right

Unsure if this helps but you could be getting mild feedback current (amps/voltage feedback), or earth not grounded correctly?

So i orginally bought the Galaxy s7 edge and experienced this issue so i took it back and got the LG G5 and im still experiencing this issue. Ive tried multiple aux cables and even brand new ones. Same thing. I think its a new stereo connector for the headset jack that is causing it

Just talked to LG G5 support, trying to figure this out. They said that no one has called about this issue so they haven't looked into it. Maybe everyone should call and report their issues. 800-243-0000 is their smart phone support.

I figured out a TEMP fix for this for the time being without having to buy anything.

Your phone comes with a LG audio music file on it, its a HIFI audio file, when you play this it puts your phone in
a high quality audio mode.

Basically if you start playing this track then start another app, like pandora, the static goes away 99%, the only thing is
when a commercial comes on, it will start the static again, so you just switch back to the music and press play then
switch back to pandora or what ever audio program you're using.

But... if you're trying to play music that is stored on your phone, it won't work because the HIFI file has to be on pause
in order to keep your phone in HQ music mode.

i just got a reply from their support on face book the person said "if the cable is not connected correctly or the car system is not compatible you may have this static noise issue. The compatibility issue will be resolved with the new software update"

Yeah I too am experiencing this issue. Tried different aux cord and my previous phone an Xperia Z1s worked fine in my car. Now my phone is unusable in the car.

I have been having this issue too. I come to the following conclusions from my searches and testing:
1. It's not just the G5, read that S7 and other phones have the same issue
2. It depends on the vehicle (my G5 is fine in my wife's GMC Acadia with Aux, fine in my son's old Acura TL with cassette adapter, and bad in my Buick Regal)
3. It's probably not the Aux cable (I have tried at least 3, fine in GMC, and bad in the Buick)

Base off some things I read, I have ordered a Ground Loop Noise Isolater (there are several on Amazon). It arrives today, so I will let y'all know how it goes.

the odd thing is my co worker's LG G5 does not have the issue in my car when we tried it. I tried the music fix but it worked once and no longer works for me. When I contacted LG support they told me it needs to be sent in for repairs but I am not sure if that was just their generic response. Happens on my friends S7 but he turned off a feature i his sound settings and now it only happens in between songs.

I have the same problem static on aux. Went to T-Mobile and they looked at me like I was crazy. I will order the noise isolator

I am experiencing this weird audio problem with my device. I bought the LG G5 yesterday and was wondering if anyone hears a loud static when plugging your phone to your car audio via AUX. I ruled out the cables with works fine on other devices in my house. I plugged in a pair of headphones directly into the phone and no static. I even plugged in a mp3 player in my car to see if the deck was going bad, and no static. Only when I plug in my phone I hear a loud static. Anyone else tried this out?

I've got the same issue. I think it's due to the aux cable only having two rings. The headphones that are supplied with the phone are three ringed and give no static. My old, two ringed headphones, give static. I'll find a new aux cable and update.

The static gradually gets louder when I Increase the volume on my phone. I thought it was a static interference from a different source but had no problems before i traded in my phone yesterday. Could it possibly be the fact that they moved the headphone jack from the bottom to the top that's causing the problem? Maybe the antenna is too close to the headphone jack and its causing interference with my deck?

I'm having the same static issue. It only happens in my car.

I have the same problem with my new G5. However, I am only getting the static from the aux while the phone is plugged into the cigarette lighther/ USB power adapter. If I unplug the power chord, the static goes away.
