Okay, here we go. This issue has perplexed me all day.
My LG G5 has developed some sort of bug. The screen flickers & power button doesn't work properly. Whenever I touch the screen to unlock my phone, the phone seems to think I'm touching it very rapidly. I cannot drag anyting or type anything in. It just goes into a seizure. My power button has been acting up prior to this, along with my fingerprint scanner. I couldn't scan my fingerprint, unlock or lock my phone. I could only access my phone by shaking it to wake it up, then entering my password manually. I can no longer do this.
As far as I know, my phone hasn't updated. I think the issue began when my phone died while recording a video. I don't know what version of android I'm running or I'd happily provide it. The phone isn't rooted, factory phone.
I took the unit apart considering its very modular and I'm somewhat experienced with phone repair and dusted everything out. Upon putting the phone back together, everything was fine and dandy for about 5-10 minutes, and then it went back to its spastic ways.
Thanks guys! I really don't want to send this unit back or replace it, so I appreciate any help or guidance. I'd much rather replace a single piece of hardware myself if I must.
P.S. My screen is slightly cracked and has been that way for months. No LCD Damage, just a small surface crack.
