LG G6+ is coming out, are you mad you should've waited?

We've known about this for almost a month. There's a thread directly below this one where it's been discussed so I wouldn't say it came out of nowhere.

It's also yet to be reported if and when this will make it to the US. LG hasn't made any statement regarding that.

Big question: when is it coming to USA?
No clue, and nobody knows if it will come to the US. LG hasn't stated what regions besides Korea. It's scheduled to release there in July.

Alot of variants like this never make it to the US.

Yeah, I am mad because calling it The G6+ is a poor marketing move as all it does is confuse folks. I wish they had just released this version from the beginning instead of thinking everyone was just fine with 32gb. Plus having black fronts from the get go would have been nice as well.

Mad about what? It's not in US and far as I've read isn't expected to be released in US. Even if it was it will easily be $150 more than I paid for my phone. There's nothing I feel like I. I'm missing out on with the G6.

Yep. And I would want a SD835 variant than getting a 6GB on a SD821 variant.

I agree too. The design is perfectly fine, just the spec department was lacking. With a SD 821 they could've included the DAC and or bumped up the internal storage to the standard 64GB.

Nope. Having been a BlackBerry user until 2015 I've had a lot of practice being happy with what I've got. That being said I wouldn't pass up quad-DAC if given the chance to swap.

Not bothered by the Quad DAC as it doesn't work with my bluetooth headphones.

128GB storage, I can buy an SD card for the cheaper than the difference in cost between a regular G6 and the G6+.

With the case on my handset I can't tell what colour it is anyway...

NEXT, moving on.

No, I'm not mad, but I don't understand their marketing strategy. There are too many variants of this phone, with features limited to specific regions.

Regardless, I'm happy with my G6, and it recently replaced the iPhone 7 as my primary device.

It's a long shot that this is released in the US (though possible). However, the only updates appear to be larger on-board storage and Quad DAC. Doubt that's enough to make people who bought the G6 clamor for the new model.

As others have said, if this is released in the US, this is a marketing fail. It's way too soon after the base model was released, which will now be relatively obsolete from a sales perspective. The only explanation is that LG was waiting to see IF the G6 would be a big seller, and due to the cash inflow decided to release an upgrade to maintain the momentum. Even then, without the upgrade to the SD 821, I doubt the additions will be enough to give sales a bump.

Apple does this all the time and their strategy is one of the best. The iPhone S models are usually a tiny upgrade from the previous model which looks exactly the same. Heck they used the same exact design for over 2 years and going (iPhone 6 & 7). Even they reused the design from the iPhone SE. Same old phone from years ago, yet people line up outside to buy it.

I feel like the only people that are 'mad' are the people that don't have the phone... People complaining about the chip is funny because you don't even notice it. The day to day is the same as the phones with the newer chip, the battery life is comparable.. I loved the DAC in my V20 but i honestly don't miss it.

I'm unclear on why they released the first one if planning this one - but definitely not mad about it. Maybe they just didn't want to wait until June to release a phone?

Not really. All they really did was bump of the ram and the storage. Still the same processor and still fragmented throughout the varying regions.

Difference being that when apple does the s upgrade it is more than just a ram and storage boost. This is an even smaller update than what apple does on it's off years.
