LG gingerbread source code released

Just curious if the devs here can do anything with this:

LG Gingerbread source code released - xda-developers

Apparently its the global release which is the American version as well? Dev stuff... idk lol

I'm looking at it now. It does seem to be in English, so it may be very useful. I'm going to try and figure out which files need to be taken from our phone and replaced because of any differences between the optimus one and the optimus s. Then I will give it a shot to compile something. Might be awhile though. I'm still quite new to all of this dev stuff, lol.

Would love to see anything put together from this. There seems to be a new radio/baseband as well.

Read as I have over at xda there is alot of misshap because of that new baseband. There may not yet be a proper way yet for us to use it. Hope those in the know can figure it out.

Good luck with this devs! As someone who's strictly an Android ROM consumer (I certainly appreciate all your guys' work), I'm excited to see what can be compiled.

This would be great finally get an OS build, instead of a port of a port rerouted through an empty house down the block from someones roommates cousin. :)

Sent via my ls670 Mobile Tellophonic device through means of that tap to talk application, which uses a wireless form of data retrieval and sending.

as I do agree with you, don't be unthankful for the ports we've gotten and that have served us well. Guys work hard on those and we must not take them for granted :)
shoutout thank you to all you amazing devs that keep our phones at the highest performance possible!

agreed...if they can make a ROM, that is not intended for our devices, work so well. Then, Im super jazzed to see what they can do with one that is.
