LG Keyboard has stopped

[AC Question]

My LG phone is displaying the message, "Unfortunately, LG Keyboard has stopped." I can not text or use anything which requires use of the keyboard. This phone is not even a month old yet. NOT HAPPY!!!!!

If the POWER goes below 15 percent the DISPLAY will dim and after I raised the illumination back up found no keyboard or drop down menus would work powered up and it was fine. You have to change the low power settings for the DISPLAY and another for apps running in the background to correct the keyboard problem.

I have a password that requires the keyboard, so I cannot get into my phones settings to resolve the keyboard issues! HELP!

Brooklunn I've tried your advice on my daughter's Lgl34c and there seems to be something missing because all it does is cycle through the LG start screen. If I take my finger off the power button it turns the phone on in safe mode. All google services do not work. I cannot add a google account. I cannot factory reset the phone because settings stops working. We've only had the phone a couple months so this is really irritating

LG Optimus. Keyboard isnt showing on lock screen. Apparently contacts are saved to phone. Transferred SIM and opened gmail. Am I screwed here? Is there no way i can get into the phone???

Mine is doing the same thing. LG Volt. It has been acting funny dissapearing in the middle of texting prior to stopping. What should I do. I did try to reboot the phone. Did not help?

My LG Volt keyboard disappears no matter which keyboard I use. It happens with SwiftKey and default keyboard as well. It will also add extra letters and words to my text which is extremely annoying. However I have noticed that it doesn't happen with every thing but constantly when I'm online especially if I'm using desktop view. Alot of times it will refuse to come up at all and when it does it just immediately disappears again. Why is this happening no matter which keyboard I try using?

I had the same issue happen to me today and restarting phone did not help, nor did taking the battery out. We had to download an app called Google Keyboard. That seems to work.

I have a Lg volt and my keyboard also ops working from time to time. think that the phone isn't processing it the right way and it also freeze on certain pages. my camera also freezes at times and the phone don't let me download the game app at all:-\

I had the same problem, none of the solutions listed here worked for me.
i ended up opening google play store, and i used the microphone symbol to type "keyboard app"
Downloaded Google Keyboard, go to settings, language and input, and switch default keyboard to Google Keyboard.
Good to go!
I hope this helps someone because i was really starting to get pissed off lol
