LG L56 Style 90% battery drain overnight when off

I have an LG Style that drains batteries in under 8 hours in standby - a little more than 12 when it is OFF. The obvious answer would be that the battery is toast. However, this issue has not changed after using 3 different new batteries, even after using one with increased capacity. Other than removing the battery when it's not is use I'm running out of ideas. Again, it drains overnight when it is shut off.

That would indicate a medium-resistance short on the motherboard. It has to go into a repair shop (but considering the price of a new one, it may not pay to repair it).
