LG Nexus

I will miss the curved screen if that goes away. Can you tell from these pictures if it is flat or curved? I can't decide.

I have never understood the infatuation with curved screens. To me it makes the devise look stupid, make for odd viewing, and add nothing positive to the user experience

Have you ever owned a nexus ?

You really don't even notice that the screen is curved IMO unless you look for it. And I have never had anyone mention it.

I'm hoping for a HTC Nexus or another Samsung but with better specs then the Galaxy Nexus.

I really hope the next Nexus is made by HTC not LG. LG's designs are pretty stale in my opinion. Just a basic brick... HTC on the other hand, seems to always have some original and unique designs. Case and point: Nexus One, Sensation, One X, 8X, 8S
My HTC Amaze is a piece of crap. And I hear more and more anecdotes of problems with One S and One X (guy at work can make the WiFi fail by flexing the case a little). Please, not an HTC, no.

Agree....I don't even notice it. If I lost it I wouldn't be heart broken so its a nil factor imo on whether to buy the LG. That 8GB of storage number has me concerned though. The lack of SD card doesn't bother me, I actually prefer not to have one. But apps get bigger and bigger and even though I don't use many apps I would like SOME space on my device for songs, movies, for when I don't have a data connection.

The he needs to get his One X replaced. That was a known hardware issue that HTC acknowledged.

God why LG!!!! The One X is the most beautiful phone that takes great pics.. Why can't that be the Nexus.... I don't know if I can replace my GNex with an LG Nexus..

My stomach just did a somersault. Abandoning my craptacular Amaze 4G to buy an HTC Nexus based on the One.... [shudders]

I'm certain Sony isn't making a Nexus, and I'm pretty sure HTC isn't either. It's LG this time around.

So this multiple Nexus rumour is false?

I'm kind of glad to be honest. Keep the phone to one flagship Nexus device. I personally am not fond of the multiple Nexus phone idea.

I'm hoping the 8gb memory is just for the special edition one. Similar to the 8gb Samsung tab 10.1 they gave out at last year's Google I/O. Similarly perhaps the special edition one is the version with the nexus X on the back. Just sayin'... I'm going to think twice about getting a phone with only 8gb of flash storage. Oh and also camera performance is a factor for me.

32gb or no go!
Yes I am only at 16 on my Gnex but that is where I want to be, halfway to an error message.

I wonder how Google break down the prices between the GN 16GB and LG Nexus.

Will they drop the price GN even more?

LG Nexus 16GB $400
LG Nexus 8GB $350
Galaxy Nexus 16GB $300

....

How much did the Galaxy Nexus cost when it was first released on the Play Store?

I'd consider buying this Nexus directly from Google.

It wouldn't be bad if you could store apps in the cloud and ROM back ups as well. Then have the option to load a custom ROM from cwm under "cloud" instead of sd storage. I own the 8gb n7 and I must say I hate that I can't download 4games because they are 1.5 GB or so. Constantly deleting stuff to make room isnt the way to go. 16-32 would be great and later make a special 64 GB edition. I honestly don't see now anyone could use a 8gb phone. (6.2gb of free) if that's the case

LG Optimus G Specs
4.7-inch True HD-IPS + LCD 1,280 by 768 pixel display
1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset
8 or 13-megapixel camera
Standard battery Li-Po 2100 mAh
131.9 x 68.9 x 8.5 mm
145 g

For me if the LG Nexus is based on those specs above for $400 in GSM 16GB then all I hope is my hands on impression of device is good when it comes out. The last thing I would want to know is will Optimus Nexus come in white?
