lg optimus s ls 670 problem

ok i did search and checked forums but here is the issue.i rooted my sons phone about 9 months ago we moved to another country and suddenly his phone would not boot up into the os.i can get intostock recovery but nothing else and am unable to enable debugging or anything cause cant get into the os. my question is how to get a rom back on this and get it going again.? any help or ideas?

If your sure you have the stock recovery then you can fix this simply. Put the zvd update.zip on the sdcard. Then simply choose install update.zip from recovery.

If you happen to have a custom recovery such as xionia, then flash the update.zip twice.

yup its stock recovery downloading zip now and will see if it works.i will let ya know thanks much for the info.

well it just sits at the android screen wont go into os fully.wondering if he didnt do something to the phone and not tell me.

If it hangs too long, pull the battery, then boot into recovery. Perform a wipe date/factory reset, then apply update.zip

ok after 4 wipes it finally went now to root this thing again.




edit: got it rooted and new recovery all is good again ty both for the help.
