LG Tone 2 HBS-770 cuts out

I have a pair of LG Tone 2 Bluetooth headphones and they constantly stutter and cut out when playing music. After a little while they crash the music app. I'm not sure what to do to fix this. I use then with a LG G3. The only other problem that causes me confusion is that the same thing happens when playing music over Bluetooth from my phone with my car. The music constantly pauses. I checked the Bluetooth version of my phone and it's 4.0 while the headphones are 4.1. I'm not sure whether the problem is with the headphones or my phone. Can anyone provide any insight?

Since it happens in your car, I would guess it's an issue with the phone. Does this happen in Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-30130

I checked it for a little bit with my sisters Galaxy S5 and it worked well. I'm not sure if it's my phone or the headsets.
