Six years since the last comment here. (I found this via a Google search.)
I have an LG HBS 730. It generally works fine for listening to music (mostly through my phone) and for phone calls.
But when I use it with Thinkpad Windows laptop for conference calls, mostly using Microsoft Teams, the microphone repeatedly stops working. Powering the headset off and on again generally fixes the problem.
The HBS 730 is much more comfortable than the USB headset that I usually use, but it's just not as reliable.
The fact that this happens with a Windows laptop is a pretty clear indication that it's not a phone issue.
