LG V10 automatically pauses while watching youtube videos

Hello, I am here to ask what is happening with my phone? Whenever I try watching YouTube on my V10, it automatically pauses after a while. Which is super annoying because I have slow internet at home, so after every pauses, I will have to wait for another few secs for the video to load. This happens no matter when I am on WiFi/Cellular. I tried using different headphones, nothing happened.

My phone is a international one H961N
My internet speed is fast (4G at 40MB/s download (by speedtest.net), home wifi is a 10 gigabit fibre connection) download a 2 gb movie takes only a minute

Welcome to Android Central.

Have you tried changing the settings on the YouTube video to a lower quality? It sounds like your network is too slow, so the videos buffer and eventually stop.

Are you on T-Mobile? This sounds like their throttling.. Aka optimizing

Have you done speed tests to find out what your mbps is both on wifi and cellular? (separate of course)

Sounds like slow wifi and/or cellular service. I had to re-initialize my comcast router about 2 weeks ago because it kept dropping out. Not a reboot mind you... I mean initializing a reset script through comcast tech support. Took a few minutes but fixed things (knock on wood).

I don't think my connection is slow, my 4G speed is 40MB/s download and my home WiFi is a 10 gigabit fibre connection. It is extremely fast, downloading a 4K movie takes only a few minutes.

I have the same issue with both my original and replacement V10. You just need to lower the quality to 1080p. Obnoxious but doable. Note that it occasionally won't change the quality and you'll need to move the cursor on the timeline a little before or after your current time.
