LG V10 - Camera shots! Show us your pictures

It still blows my mind that I can take pictures of this quality with my phone.
I agree with you. The quality of the cameras on our phones has increased tremendously. And not only the quality but the capabilities as well. The manual video mode is no slouch and I plan to do some creative stuff myself.

Im impress with every picture in this thread, i don't have a v10 (yet) but I'm between the G4 or this one V10... Have any one try to capture a good/great picture of the moon it self? I just wondering how that will look....normal phone camera doesn't do any justice thanks and keep those great picture coming :D

I think you just have me an idea. But I did do a 30 second exposure shot of the moon and clouds posted earlier in this thread.

This morning drive to work. When I find my nd8 filter, I'm going to do some cool shots. Edited in VSCO. uploadfromtaptalk1449064057093.jpg

Anyone else notice the quality of the images downgrades when uploading the the app?

Is it better to upload the the web instead? The raccoon image I just posted before upload was actually incredibly sharp. However after attaching it here, it looks fuzzy.

I've also noticed a degree of image quality loss depending on which way you upload the image. If you choose the little camera icon option the quality is just ok. If you choose the paperclip option the quality is noticeably better.

Took advantage of this rainy day. Not saying the V10 has the best camera but it sure has been the most fun. These are all unedited shots straight from the phone. I cannot believe I captured these on a phone.uploadfromtaptalk1449102798834.jpguploadfromtaptalk1449102878689.jpguploadfromtaptalk1449102902069.jpguploadfromtaptalk1449102935432.jpguploadfromtaptalk1449102961102.jpguploadfromtaptalk1449102984082.jpguploadfromtaptalk1449102999600.jpguploadfromtaptalk1449103022663.jpguploadfromtaptalk1449103038521.jpg

Hello, I just got my V10 and I have never really thought too much about the pics I take with my phones, but after seeing what everyone has been posting here, I have to ask. How are you all getting such great quality pictures? I take a pic on auto with flash set to auto and the pics look nice, but not this nice.

It's all about the manual mode. I have zero experience with manual photography, but after playing around with the settings on this phone, I've snapped some fantastic pictures. The auto mode pics are good....but the manual mode pictures are easily 2 steps above. It doesn't take long to get the hand of it, and the results are will worth your time.

Personally I love the manual mode. I own a very entry level interchangeable lens camera(ILC) so I am very familiar with what affects the settings will have on a shot. Auto mode is really already good to begin with but there are certain situations(low light and high contrast settings where the highlights can get really blown out) where you want to take control over the scene. Also everything may be correct except for the color temperature in scone scenes and you can use manual to change that one parameter. One tip I would give too is in scenes with lots of light and the highlights get blown out, expose for the highlights and then bring up the shadows in post processing with a photo editor app like Snapseed or PhotoShop Express. For long exposure shots at night you'll need a tripod or even a simple smartphone stand to stabilize your phone. Set the ISO low between 50-200 and experiment with different shutter speeds to see how they affect the shot. For 15-30 second shots unless it is really dark you may need an nd8 filter to control the highlights without. Otherwise the lights will be blown out too much. Lastly, get out there and have some fun. You'll learn a lot just by doing that. Post your pics as well so maybe we can help if need/want it. The last bit of long exposure shots were uploaded without any edits but don't feel like editing your pictures makes them any less good. Some shots need a little touch up here and there. Welcome to the family!uploadfromtaptalk1449180276020.jpguploadfromtaptalk1449180313886.jpg

Also in manual mode the affects show live on screen so you can get a good idea as you change them. Just mess around with the settings.

Had to fire up the humidifier for the baby girl tonight. Hopefully her cold passes quickly. uploadfromtaptalk1449198439957.jpg

Thought I'd share this. It's a picture of my wife's brand new v10. As you can see on the side, the seal is still there. However this is how it arrived. It was only torn open on one spot. That just so happens to be in the perfect spot so the phone can be removed. Someone obviously knew where to tear the box. After waiting 5 days to arrive, we were both disappointed. I called T-Mobile to inform them of this immediately. They're going to next day air a new one for free for her.

The pictures are from my v10 ;)
