Does this screen use less battery because it is black or do you just like black?

I've always heard that a black screen saves in battery, but, I've never put it to the test. I like using very dark wallpapers. I hate clutter, and a picture as a wallpaper just adds clutter in my eyes.

How did you change the icons to round vs. stock square?

The phone icon is because I use the Facebook dialer app (and really like it). Otherwise, I've found some great icons on Zedge (for free), and even the phone itself has some alternate icon options. You can access them by holding down on the app....Once it changes to the edit mode, click on the little paint brush.

I liked this wallpaper that was on the phone, so I used it with a Zooper clock/weather widget and a really old Sphere icon pack.

OLED screens can technically save battery with black backgrounds because the black parts of the screen are individual diodes that are off. LCD screens use a backlight behind the entire display that is then filtered by liquid crystals, but the black parts are still "on" since the backlight is on. The V10 has an LCD screen.
