LG V20 concept renders by OnLeaks

Really hoping that the V20 is not modular... Am looking forward to seeing final specs on this device

If they can build the feature into the device, that would be best. Marketing up "modularity", and pitching it, just to overcome missing design elements that should be built into the device is a waste... and a big part of the G5 failure.

A removable battery I think is the one good application though. Camera flash and add-ons is another.

I do think the device is a modular LG was banking that the G5 would be a success with that being said the already invested in making this device a modular. With them still rushing to beat the iPhone or the gate and on the trails of the Note, they have either added or simple have something up their sleeves. Until next month we'll just have to wait.

The problem with the idea that it's going to be modular is that the V series was supposed to be a separate series than the G. It took years for Samsung to make the Galaxy and Note series basically identical. I'd tend to think that LG would keep the V series different than the modular tech on the G. At least I really really Hope.

I wish LG would release more details, I really want a reason NOT to get the Note 7.
I thought they were going to be a little more generous with the information since LG claimed that they would email information about the V20 if you signed up with an email address. I have yet to see one email from LG in my inbox, and I signed up before any leaks or leaked renders surfaced. What's widdat?

I was hoping LG would at least keep a steady stream of teasers coming up until launch. I definitely thought they'd be doing something this week to especially to give people second thoughts about jumping on the note 7.

LG's marketing scheme has not always been that great. That have great phones, but hope that one or two leaks will be enough to sale their phone up against a company whom spend millions on one phone twice within one year (i.e Samsung S series and Note series) and then a house hold named phone just because it's different than Android (Apple). If they were to focus more than out would be s lot better at selling more and getting there public's view.

You hit it right there. Those crazy Jason Statham ads with him looking all weird and not being a tough guy was so confusing for the G5. They need some heavy hitters to promote the V20 this time around. With football season coming up a nice tie in with that would be nice. Maybe show off how good the new camera and video modes are at the game or something and get a legend like Bret Farve or Jerry Rice or somebody current like Oddell Beckham Jr. Just thinking.

For me, getting Joseph Gordon-Levitt is pretty current. He was awesome in Inception.

Yeah the Joseph Gordon-Levitt commercials were actually pretty good and showcased the strengths of the V10 pretty well.

I just played with the G5 for a while, that phone feels amazing! I didn't find the module bottom to be cumbersome at all! Then I played with the Note 7 for a solid hour, the Gorilla glass 5 almost feels like plastic, compared to the premium heft and feel of the metal of the G5. But the screen is what amazed me, to me the Note 7's screen isn't as beautiful as the G5.
This has strengthen my resolve to wait for the V20.

Ugh... Damn side buttons. I Loved the sleek feel of the V10, and how naturally the back buttons feel.

Looks like Ringke already selling a case for v20.
Which makes me sad. That case render (I'm assuming) looks nice, but I was really hoping LG would stand by the V10's styling and not "refine" it. I've actually about had it with the "premium feel" obsession that's taken over flagship design and evaluation.

I miss my old plastic Nexus 5. I know I'm in the minority though. I was hoping Sailfish would be plastic, but the odds don't seem to be in my favor.

Sorry, kinda off topic.

I agree with you i didn't miss the side buttons. At first i goes that HTC would be different from Samsung but they have completely fallen off(maybe the Nexus devices dawg save them) but being that LG is trying to stay relevant, they are not innovating too much like they did with the G3 and even the G4. Yes the G5 is a one of a kind service but if you don't bring great accessories with the device it'll be for nothing. Just like the first smartwatch yes you were the pioneer for it but if it's not a game changer where you build of if it (the Note series) it's pointless.
