LG V20 Pros & Cons

Pro - Battery life is excellent, SOT for me today was 4-5 hours and I'm still at 36%, very nice.

Con - I don't find much use for the second screen, maybe I will over time, but so far no.
You might start using it.. That's how I was when I got my V10.. Now I don't know if I can function without it. Haha.

I've found a few cons, but maybe more of a quirk/bug.

Volume notice doesn't time out. When I change the volume with the rocker, the notification stays until I tap anywhere on the screen.

No OEM calculator (Google's calculator is used instead), meaning no calculator in the Qslide function. I used that all the time on my G4. Heck, it was about the only Qslide app I used.

I'm starting to suspect OIS isn't working. My longer term camera exposures are a lot more blurred than I expected in my testing. I'm going to compare this to my G4, but I'm also not seeing the characteristic centering of the sensor/image after moving the phone with the camera app running. It may be a hardware defect in mine, but I've seen others questioning the video stability quality in their retail units on here.
My volume notice times out in about 3 seconds

The samsung screens remind me of a woman with too much make up
Agreed. I used the options on my N7 that toned down that "super color". Still was a bit much. Especially on such things as the red on YouTube. It looked downright neon. I don't miss that. V20 screen is great.

I agree on the calculator. I came from the LG G4 and used it all the time. Not such a fan of the Nougat calculator. The Q-slide app list should be customizable, even if it means letting us add non-"floating" apps.

A small complaint that may be more Nougat- than LG-related:

On my LG G4 lock screen, there was an option to randomize the numbers on the PIN entry keypad. That way, if a TV cop or detective gets a hold of your phone, they're less likely to be able to guess your pin from the smudge spots on the screen. The LG V20 seems to lack this feature. Much disappoint.

I'm still waiting for Anker out some other 3rd party to come out with a cheaper battery than LG's.

I remember that option but never used it. I also didn't have the smudge spots like you mentioned (though I did have a smudged area at the bottom where the keyboard is). Either way, I used a 6 digit PIN, so they would have been trying a while with mine. Much more than the 10 attempts it gives your before resetting.

I did try the randomized key pad, but it was tripping me up too much. On the up side, using your fingerprint to unlock can prevent those smudges.

I'm glad I still have the FM radio on this phone. Other phones I've had the FM radio was removed or disabled. (USA on AT&T)

The longer I have this phone the more I discover and like about it! But I need recommendations for a decent SD card since I have never used one before.

Pros - great finger print scanned
Even the position is good feels natural
-2nd screen
-very customizable even without apps

Cons - power button and volume keys position not so great. Especially with a wallet or flip cover case.
- lacks led, yes 2nd screen gives notifications but you dont know who its from still have to wake up the phone.
- lack of stock lg apps

Pros
Speed/stability
Screen size
Second screen (love!!)
FPS

Cons
Poor voice dictation recognition
No front-facing speakers

I don't have a lot of use for the 2nd screen but it's certainly not hurting anything.

Pros:
Fast and accurate FPS
Screen size and quality
Performance
Nougat (Cats!!)
Video and camera options

Cons:
Battery life could be better
FFC is horrible in 3rd party apps like FB messenger and Snapchat. Almost unusable IMO
Camera in auto mode

Am I the only person who doesn't mind the camera (back and front)?! It's a million times better than my M9 was!

Pros:
Large screen
Fast processor
Good battery life
Removable battery
Aluminum casing
Good camera
Android 7.0
Cons:
No flashing LED on front casing for incoming messages and incoming calls like Samsung. I also miss the repeated "whistle" from my Samsung for messages ........

You can download them or copy from phone. I did that with my g5 to my note 5. I liked the g5 knock and the "good morning alarm notification" so ive transfered to my samsung devices
