Welcome to the future where the phone screen is so slim, you can't even hold it anymore! (S8 plus in landscape mode)

The masses: WE WANT THINNER BEZELS!!!

Samsung: Fine...You want less bezels, you get less bezels.

The masses: We can't use our phones right! We need our bezels back!

They didn't perform tests to make sure it's practical to use? This happened on their Galaxy Tab S 8.4, which had virtually no bezels, it was very hard to use and hold comfortably. The Tab S2 8.0 went back to fatter bezels which was better. Samsung isn't afraid to try whacky things because sometimes it's a hit (for example, the Note 1 & 2 were first phablets with a pen, they also had a few Galaxy cameras too).

Depends on features. Does it still have ir blaster? How big is internal battery? How much storage and ram? It is very pretty but I'm leaning against it. My original battery already has lost some of it's capacity. If internal battery has noticeable loss after 6 months it's a pretty bad deal.

It usually is if you use it all the time.

Yes I am very tough on batteries. I charge to 100% all the time and stream video and music down to 15%. I often use phone for 4 to 5 hours without any break. Sometimes while charging. Often without. Then I switch batteries and do it again. Storing at 100% or even charging to 100% is tough on a battery.

My has aged, but I've had it since pre-release and use it a lot

Still it sounds like with a built in battery I won't get 2 years out of a phone

Well if they start with a 4000 it won't be so bad but you will definitely have to charge more often

Nobody has built a phone with a battery that big. I doubt LG will. Maybe 3400 if we're lucky

I didn't say they did, but it wouldn't be hard to do in iPhone the size of the V20. The Droid Maxx had 3500 and was smaller

Re: New V30 render... Might not get it. What do you think?

Oh they could but the Samsung Note 7 episode might scare them off

I don't know about all these renders. The latest one seems to be metal backed, but still is claiming wireless charging... Seems to me that most are throwing things against the wall hoping they stick...

We'll see soon enough.

Looks great but other than that....no dice until I see what's under the hood and it may not be enough to go to a glass phone that I would just end putting in a case. Putting it in case is just pointless if you buy it for looks. Maybe they should just make glass cases for rugged phones....lol
Yes, exactly... I want a V30 with a flat screen and an SD835 (or better), and hope they keep the quad DAC. It's a challenge to find a decent case for these thin-bezel phones, though.

Re: New V30 render... Might not get it. What do you think?

The bezels on the Note 7 were small enough. When you hold S8plus in landscape hard not to touch active screen

Re: New V30 render... Might not get it. What do you think?

Nope I'm good
Really like v20
Only had 3 months
Battery still great and I have spare

In not sure what you mean by decent case. All the major brands have cases for this phone and there are plenty of cheap cases as well.

Re: New V30 render... Might not get it. What do you think?

those pics are just some guy making up stuff right? not like a leak, but a creative guess?

I'd be fine with a non-removable battery if it lasts. I had both the V10 and the V20, and I was swapping batteries once or twice a day.

I also want a wide phone like the V20. If my S8+ was the same physical dimensions as my V20 it would be perfect
