LG Viper roms?

Re: lg viper roms?

possibly discovered a build issue- somehow i was able to initialize the environment before, could be my ubuntu was 32 bit. Im not sure because i deleted my vm to start fresh. Low and behold, i was unable to boot after initializing 64 bit ubuntu build environment, but could beforehand. Its a problem with a i386 pkg referred to by libgal1 i think. There is a workaround. Will post results.

Re: lg viper roms?

Lol. Cant remember the link. But i will pastebin the tools. Dont use the android source page tools with 64 bit ubuntu 12.04. I think the fix for it is reinstall desktop. Im useing all tools w/o :i386. Also create symbolic link with x86_64 rather than i386. reinstall desktop as well. Didnt wanna risk another 2 hour install/initialization,nor the time or patience.

Re: lg viper roms?

Cleaned it. Fixed the llvm error. it will compile for nearly 12 hrs. Then the same linked/media.so error from earlier. i swapped the /av, the qcom/media and qcom/display with legacymod. looks like everything builds but libmedia linked. any ideas?

Re: lg viper roms?

make: *** [out/target/product/ls840/obj/SHARED_LIBRARIES/libOmxAacEnc_intermediates/src/omx_aac_aenc.o] Error 1

cm9. ggling suggests' to add media-caf but im unable to find ics support. any ideas? above the error complains like this

vendor/qcom/opensource/omx/mm-audio/aenc-aac/qdsp6/inc/OMX_Audio.h:1300: error: 'OMX_BOOL' does not name a type

beyond terminal scrolling.

Re: lg viper roms?

omx - Pastebin.com swapped kali's qcom/mms+v8, had the same error occur where linux/blah.h no such file or directory. that file exists at kernel/lg/ls840/include/linux. wtf. copy/paste the .h to the file of the cpp no help. i might be taking eds advice and attempt building a vanilla rom. cyanogenmod has been nothing but errors, kinda depressing, lol. any help with the error?

Re: lg viper roms?

aosp jellybean 4.2.2 error out/target/product/ls840/kernel', needed by out/target/product/ls840/boot.img.
# Kernel Config
TARGET_PREBUILT_KERNEL := device/lge/ls840/kernel
TARGET_KERNEL_SOURCE := kernel/lge/ls840
TARGET_KERNEL_CONFIG := cyanogenmod_ls840_defconfig

got the same error with aokp, any suggestions?

Re: lg viper roms?

the 4.2.2 aosp build compiled succesfully. and succesfully bricked my viper twice. twrp 2.3.3 reads installing..... checking md5 no md5 then proceeds to install gapps which succesfully installs. boots logo to blank screen. first attempt i wiped dalvik second attempt no wipe dalvik, same results. any suggestions?

Re: lg viper roms?

oops no kernel. hmmm. nm kernel is boot.img. .zip consists of boot.img, meta-inf,recovery,system files. didnt see a kernel folder. anyhow, what is the proper flashing procedure? ive bricked 6 times. did factory reset, wipe dalvik, flashed rom/flashed gapps. did fllash rom/gapps, factory reset dalvik. did factory reset, wipe cache flash rom. did adb push boot.img got this output-
# dd if=/sdcard/download/boot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p8
9012+0 records in
9012+0 records out
4614144 bytes transferred in 2.796 secs (1650266 bytes/sec)
wiped dalvik,flashed rom, wipe cache, flash gapps. any suggestions? rom is 118.5mb. boot.img is 4.6mb.
