I have. It basically has 2 settings... WiFi Auto and WiFi Off. When set to Auto, it should automatically connect (give it ~30 secs to adjust) through WiFI when you move out of BT range. If you want to force it, just turn off the BT connection on your phone.

Keep in mind that your phone has to pass the credentials of the network to the watch, so it won't connect to WiFi that your phone has never been on. It'll also work if the watch is on WiFI, but the phone is just on cell data.Kinda handy if you ever misplace the phone!

Had the watch for a week now, so far I am loving it better than the Moto 360. However I am not seeing more than one day worth of battery life and that is with "always on" off. Maybe I will turn off Wi-Fi too see if that help.
I did ditch the leather band today and got myself a very nice and heavy stainless steel band

These 2 pics may have just convinced me to ditch my gear 2 and make the switch to the Urbane.

My only hang up is that I like the look of the urbane LTE better with its numbered dial. I also would love to see what the Tag watch will look like.

Decisions decisions.

Just got my Urbane today. I am coming from the Zenwatch. When I setup my Urbane, I let it go through the update process and then do a factory reset to make sure that I got a smooth install. After installing and updating once, then resetting the device and installing and setting it up again, I have 86% battery life left. Its been an hour and the battery has decreased to 75%. Not sure if my fiddling with it has something to do with it.

I plan on running it just like I would my Zenwatch to do a battery comparison.

Some initial thoughts on the watch......Feels kind of plasticky compared to my Zen. The protective plastic wrap was sort of weird to peel off. It did not peel off all together as one unit. Maybe I was retarded when I peeled it off, I am not sure. I was expecting more of a premium feel to the watch and was expecting more metal. With the new updates to the Zenwatch, there are a lot of different watch faces to choose from and some are really cool with the animation. The one thing I liked with the Zenwatch was the number of watchfaces that I could choose from verses the Moto and the Gear S. I do like the button on the side of the Urbane verses the lack of the button on the Zenwatch. The tiny hidden button on the bottom of the Zenwatch was a little awkward to use.

Comparing it to the Moto 360...(I have bought that watch 3 times - its sort of a love hate relationship), I would say IMO that if the battery life is less than the Asus Zenwatch and about the same as the Moto 360, then I would probably elect to go with the Moto. The Urbane is a nice watch but with tax, the device ran me close to $380 so, I am not sure if I like it better than the 199 for the Asus. Also, I am not sure if I spend the 380, how long will I keep it before I trade up? I have gone through all the version of the Samsung watch , the Moto 360 and now the Zenwatch.

What a difference between this and the 360. Its much more smoother with way less glitches and problems playing nice with Android Wear like the 360 did.

I'm not sure I understand. Plasticky? More metal?

Except for the leather band (a very nice leather band), the entire watch is metal. How can that feel plasticky? Where would you put more metal if the entire watch case is already metal and fairly substantial at that?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the entire underside of the Urbane is plastic. Perhaps that is what he is referring too.

My viewpoint on the watch is changing today. Battery life seems great on the second day. Hopefully it continues. I think when I set the watch up initially, then I reset it back to factory and then reinstalled everything the second time that helped.

That is weird, for some reason, it will not show the picture of the battery life. According to the display, looks like I can get through the day.

To me the bezel does not feel like metal. It feels like plastic. Could be my imagination. Today, i am stating to like the device better. From what I can see, the battery life today seems excellent,. I just want it to last longer than the Moto 360. It does not have to last as long as the Asus did. I just need it to last by the end of the day. The Moto 360 would usually die after 12 hours.

70% battery remaining after 11-1/2 hours: http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-watch-urbane/524753-what-s-battery-life-like.html#post4412502

You should easily beat 12 hours. Had mine for a week and only one time the watch ran out after 16 hours (of fairly heavy use). Under normal use at 18 hour mark I have about 15% remaining.

Every review I can find states some variation of "all metal stainless steel case.". It's difficult to say for certain what the back is made from but even if plastic, it doesn't detract from the overall product IMO.

Didn't want to start a completely new thread but maybe I should. Just curious what most of you that have this or any wear device use it for? I had the Urbane for a week and I was having issues with BT killing my WiFi speeds. I returned it and wanted to see if I would miss it. So far I don't. But when I see reviews it makes me curious when all these people talk about app development. What does the majority want these watches to do for them? I did like not having to pull phone out of my pocket to see what messages I received or who was calling.

I work in sales and marketing, I get hundreds of emails at work everyday. It is much easier for me to quickly glance at my watch to see what email came in, if it actually requires my attention right at that moment or it can wait until I finish what i am doing. Plus I am a gadget guy, the cool factor of a smart watch is undeniable.

I bought the Gear S last year, because it has built in GPS, wifi, bt and a Sim card slot, so I can go running without my Note 2. I use it every day, and like that it also tracks how many steps I walked and that it has an alarm on it. The most used app is the Nike running app, which tracks all my runs now. When it was working, I could leave my phone in the car and calls would be automatically sent to my watch - this functionality broke for me through the last update, so I use it truly stand-alone now. Also when it was working, it was nice to look at my wrist to see who was calling or messaging my main phone. I use the LG Tone Plus BT headset and blindly answer when I can't reach my phone, which makes for some weird conversations when people say "Hi" and expect me to recognize them by that one friggin' sillable, which I don't always do.

The Urbane LTE may have been a great contender, since the Gear S only supports 3G speeds, but its SIM card slot is not user accessible, so my interest waned.

Before the Gear S, I could never see the point of a smart watch.

Couldn't make the purchase. Given the battery is relatively similar to Apple Watch and how expensive it was, I thought the time was not yet to make a smartwatch purchase. It looks fashionable and has a great design, but I feel it's superfluous right now.
