Light pink screen where it should be white

Pixel xl. Latest upgrade. Nova launcher. On every page *except* the home screen, where there should be a white background, it is pale pink. It looks to me like it's left over from a blue light night filter program I uninstalled. But maybe not. In any case, I've been though every display and assistive setting I can find, and the settings that might alter the color or shade of the screen and nothing is set to On. Besides a full reset, anyone have any idea?

Thanks.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to check in for a few days.

Yes, the built in light feature is turned off completely.

The weird thing is that I can find Color Adjustment settings on my Note 9 (which doesn't have this pink problem), but I can't find them on the Pixel XL.

And, to complicate this question, I'm not sure I can send a screen shot because the Pixel XL is my backup phone and it's not online.

Thanks,

That's a really good question: What does it look like when stock.

I've been using the Nova launcher for so long, I can't even remember how to return to stock. How would I do that?

(And, for that matter, if I do go back to stock, will I be able to restore my multi-page Nova layout afterwards? I have backed up the Nova layout, but I also have a bunch of memo widget labels and texts that I can't backup. If it's unlikely, I'm not sure but what I might be willing to live with the ugly pink rather than lose my custom pages.)

Thanks,

Also, I want to reiterate that the five home screens are fine. No pink. Why aren't they affected? There must be a clue in that factoid.

You go to settings>apps>advance>default app choose pixel launcher this will not delete anything for Nova

So. Using the pixel built-in launcher didn't change a thing. Home screen was fine. All apps had a pinkish cast to their displays. The hardware isn't broken because the home screens have the proper color balance. But somewhere below the level of the launcher, the color palette is wrong. It's actually an interesting problem more, but, in addition to being ugly, the screen has less contrast and is harder to read. Even when using a dark screen (see screenshot, but it doesn't show up), anything white as well as the navigation icons along the bottom are pink.

Then try in safe mode see if it's the same

OK. I've narrowed it further. My home screen background is a black tweedy sort of fine pattern, on which I've placed a bunch of icons, some with captions. The captions are in a regular sans serif typeface. They look pale pink. There are also Memo Widget text blocks in bold face. The bold looks white at first glance, but, now that I examine it under a loupe, I can see that it too is pink.

So, I misled you when I said that the home screens were untouched. In fact, everything is pink. Period.

So, it's below the app level, it's below the settings level and it's below the launcher level.

Uh oh. I was afraid of that. Thank you for all your help. If I get myself up to tackle Google, I'll let you know the cause.

To MethodMan--I couldn't find that setting anywhere on my Pixel XL. I did find a comparable screen on my Note 9, but not on my Pixel XL. It does look like it might help, but where is it hidden on the old Pixels?

Thanks,
