Lines at the stores -- Looks like the Nexus is selling out!

bro... I agree our software will be up to date.. but if you are anything like you describe, or anything like myself.. you aint going to last 2 year with this phone when quadcore's and other ridiculous stuff starts dropping.

Ill be happy if I make it to next xmas with this phone.

100% true in my case. Very happy with it...know it'll last me a while, but clearly I'm not making any promises about getting to the 1 year mark with a phone. Haven't done that in about 5 years since I started this little addiction of mine. LOL.

Just got back to the office from the VZW store, with Gnex activated and waiting to be used. :)

No line in the early afternoon, but it was BUSY, and it looked like almost everyone there was buying the Gnex. The store in question is the corporate store on Jefferson St. in the Skyline section of Falls Church/Alexandria, Va. As of about noon ET, the guy I talked to on the phone said they only had a few left, but I was able to have lunch and then get one there with no problem. They may be worth trying if you're still looking for one in the DC area. (703) 379-6540

The sales associate who helped me said that other stores in the area were trying to get this store to give them some Nexi, but I doubt that will happen from how busy they were. The next closest VZW on Little River Tnpk. said they might be getting another shipment in this afternoon, but obviously I never checked back with them.

After all the comments about how only a handful of geeks would bother buying this phone, it's nice to see the high demand for it. It certainly caught Verizon unaware. Maybe this will convince them to launch geek phones in a smoother fashion in the future. They captured my business away from AT&T today, and I'm certainly not the only one.

My store didn't have a line when I arrived at 9:30, but it was still busy. They did not have any cases that I liked so I went to another one in town a few hours later; they said that they had been slammed and sold-out of all of the black cases they had. I think that this phone is going to be Verizon's all-time top-selling Android device.

Also, I do not think it is just geeks that are after this phone. It has been on the news a few times, and various online websites are talking about it. It's certainly not a household name being tossed around, but this device obviously has some popularity.

I work nights from 10PM to 6AM and get in bed around 7AM. Also work another part time job so wasn't going to wait up 2 hours and go to the store!

I called my local store yesterday and they said they had 50 in stock so wasn't worried about it. Got up at 11 and got there about 1145, they still had 25 in stock. No line was in and out in about 15 mins, had time for lunch before work :)

I just played with the Nexus at the corporate store in North Phoenix on Bell Rd. The store was busy but they said they had "plenty" in stock. I want the phone but am cautiosly watching for a few days to see what problems there are. I bought the Charge the first day it came out and regret it as it took months for the gingerbread update that finally made this phone purr.

There were 5 in stock at the sherman oaks BB this morning. I got the first one and there were two others in line with me who got them.

Southern California - South Orange County: seven people in front of me at opening; geeks from all walks of life; took about half an hour for it to be my turn; great customer service; gave out free ice cream sandwiches; popped a balloon to see if I won a good discount

didn't have the spare battery with charger. got the black incipio double cover case.

I don't think so. For what I do dual core is plenty, not to mention quad core will not be optimized at first just like dual core wasn't and most likely will suck down the battery faster. I have a tablet and a phone, I don't need quad core, I don't play many games and the ones I do work fine with dual core, heck they worked fine with single core.

Bought at a corp store in Manhattan Kansas this morning. Had a 10AM appointment but arrived early. Waiting my turn I saw about three white boxes go out the door with people. My rep said that he had sold six units this morning but had no idea how many had been sold by the other reps.

I was at the store almost two hours. They had a lot of problem getting mine to activate and download the OTA. They seemed a bit surprised to see so many people buying the GN there.

Went to the University of Montana VZW store at 840 am and was third in line. They only had five and by the time I got mine and left there were three people behind me. So that store sold out.

my store gave out real Ice Cream Sandwiches to everyone buying a Galaxy Nexus. I thought that was pretty hilarious and a great gesture

15 people in line in Newington, CT . I was number 6. About 30 in Stock. I was lucky enough to get 1 of the 2 Extended Batteries they had

I walked in an hour after opening. Had to wait inside about 30 min. Guy said they had about five outside when they opened but had a constant flow coming in. Wanted to know how I knew it came out today. Told him it was supposed to come out more than once and the community had more info on release than they did. Guy found it very funny.

Had about twelve people in line behind me. Everyone getting one. My sales person was surprised also. She had an iPhone and said after activating mine that she might dump it for this. Lol. Only thing missing right now is flash. But really nit missing it.

Side note. I supposedly had a nine am appointment but it dis me no good. And they didn't have the car docking station in stock either .

Same here. But I think I will make it a year. Will be odd to keep getting updates. Odd but great.

Hmm... a metro of over 18 million and there are only 40 people there. I live in a metro of over 2 million... That means I should only expect about 4.44 people in line when I get there.

Which means your store should have .3 devices in stock. Good luck.
