Lines at the stores -- Looks like the Nexus is selling out!

Re: line at stores

Wow, glad I didn't wait till after work to try the Penn Quarter location, they'd probably be sold out. Ordered online at 1:30am, hoping to get it early tomorrow.

Indeed. I just went down to play with the demo unit (slick. as. hell.) and was informed that every store in DC and Arlington/Falls Church is sold out. You have to go to Alexandria or Fairfax to get one (dunno about Maryland, that was all the info they gave me). Not at all disappointed I made the call to order online. At least I'll get some work done today. If I get off the forums, anyway! :p

L Street sold out by about 9:45, so I'm guessing some of those folks waiting around didn't get anything but a raincheck. The store manager said they weren't prepared for that big of a rush. Guess they don't follow the tech blogs....

There were about 5 or 6 of us initially a little before it opened, then when it opened up there was a dozen people in there in no time. They said they had about 20+ phones in stock and were not expecting this sort of response (claimed that for their store this seemed more popular than the iPhone launch.) They had some issues at first activating the phones as they were trying to use the wrong SIM cards, but only took a few minutes to sort out with their phone support. I left around 10am so guessing based on the amount of people the phones are probably out.

Where are you? I was at a VZW store in King of Prussia (Philadelphia suburb). 18 or so people lined up before they opened the doors and another 10 or so came in shortly after.

Outside of the Fullerton, ca (harbor blvd and houston ave.) corp store. 6th in line and there are about 13 so far......come now if you're around the area.

im in Boca Raton, FL and fortunately for me every1 here is an iSheep, there was only one other person getting the phone when I walked in. at the BB mobile, said they only had 6 of them

Broadway n 17th store had about 30 inline
Had wife pickup at atlantic terminal Brooklyn store. She was at target anyway.
I think anywhere in manhattan will be long lines and or sold out.
Check da boros.

Yeah, that's my target (no pun intended) on the way home. Guy I spoke with there sounded hopeful that they may last to the end of the day.

Hell, if the Wall St store had been up-front and told me they had so little frickin' stock when I called ahead, I could've hopped on a train, bought the phone in BK, and been back at the office in the 90 minutes I wasted standing in line downtown for a store that was understocked anyway.

Now I'm stuck debating whether to order online now or hope for stock at Atlantic Terminal this evening. If I turn up at the store and they're out, I'll also have missed the 4.30 deadline for next-day on online orders. (Plus it sounds like they may not have massive stock on hand for online orders either, judging by other threads.)

But if I order online now, it *has* to be shipped to my apartment -- they won't allow delivery to an alternate address, such as my office -- in which case I have to hope (a) the UPS/Fedex guy will accept my neighbor's signature, and (b) that my neighbor is in tomorrow because I can't be at home to sign for it.

Argh.

Well I'm now officially aggrivated. My local store was supposed to have them in today on an 11am UPS shipment. Well that didn't happen, and according to them now they will not be here until tomorrow. I knew I should have just ordered online......

Good news is though, a store ~35miles away has 39 of them in stock, they received 40 total and have only sold one all day. He has set me one aside just in case most people are like me and not being able to get them now until after work. We shall see, 5 more hours, yuck. lol.

Stopped at the store at 57th and 6th in NYC during lunch to check out the phone. They were already sold out but said they could order phones for overnight delivery.

I just stopped by Best Buy in Raleigh. The guy said they sold several this morning but that they have plenty in stock. No display unit out, though, so I still haven't seen it in person. Will stop by a VZW store tomorrow. I want to hold the actual phone before buying.

Mesquite, TX store got there at 9am. About 5 people ahead of me but seemed like a few more were filing in after i got mine. Was told they had about 50 or so in stock . I would be surprised if they sold out by the end of the day.

Fair number of us at the local corporate store here way outside of Chicago. I was surprised to see all the nexus sales. We were all excited but the sales staff seemed indifferent to the release.

There were three of us at the Capital City Mall corporate kiosk outside Harrisburg, PA. It was perfect because there were three associates working. They started ringing us up around 8:50 -- 10 minutes before the store was set to open. It was nice to get to meet a fellow forum user, Hosehead, while I was there.

About four of us at the one store here in Orlando. I did get the last extended battery however, which just barely fits the regular shell case/holster combo.

not living in a large city has its benefits sometimes. Walked in, exchanged the razr I got 3 weeks ago, walked out.

The bb in Mesa, AZ on Southern when I was there just after 9 had one guy already buying one and a guy came as I was buying that wanted 2. Right when they opened so I'm sure they are going to sell out soon.
