anyone flashing this after using Gingeritis 3DB6?

i've wanted a skyraider ROM since my brother's had the dInc--and now can finally try one out.
but if battery life isn't as good as Ginger i might have to pass.

thoughts?

I flashed from beta 6 to Zeus yesterday, set it up and ran it for about 3 hours, then restored gingeritis to get the 3d effects and uninterrupted homescreen scrolling back. I'm spoiled with sense 3.0 roms.

Didn't really use it long enough to get a grasp on battery life tho.

We all know that rooting and flashing ROMs has some risks to it, but if there's code that can intentionally shut down my phone, I'm not installing it.

You will only have issues if you install it through bootmanager app... other than that, its a great ROM. I am using it now

I cant compare but I will post back at the end of the day...

also, I use an extended battery and an app called 2x battery -which DRAMATICALLY extends your battery life...

I'll definately try this ROM solely because I loved SkyRaider on my DInc and this looks compelling, but I feel I may end up following zero neck's lead and coming back to 3D. If a future update was in the works...

I'm really excited to see what kind of skyraider roms we see in the future... Sky roms were awesome for the dinc.

FYI.... I have tried 4 different kernels and NONE of them are compatible with his ROM.. I think he made it that way... so, NO overclocked is possible at this point...

if any one knows anything diff please let me know

too bad this uses the "old" GB leak. I find the new GB leak far more compatible with the apps I use most.

So, I just figured out how to get the BAMF logo as my dock ICON using adw ex... check it, and when I press on BAMF it opens my app drawer

I use adw ex, not sure if you can do this with the free version, but here is how its done.

I attached to exact BAMF logo as a jpg. which is needed for adw ex DOCK icon. place the pic in your DCIM folder with all of your other gallery pics (or put into named folder, whatever you want, it just needs to be in the DCIM)

open ADW setting by pressing 'menu' soft button -'more' -'adw settings' - 'themes and preferences' - then select 'main dock' dropdown box and choose 'custom' - 'gallery'... then find the pic and select it. this is the first step in getting it to appear as your dock...

you will need to DL 'ADW.elegant' theme from the market. this is the only theme i could find that has icons that appear completely translucent.

if you already know how to use adw then you already know how to select and choose any icon for any app or shortcut... if you have icons on your dock and want them to stay there but be translucent, then you need to long press the icon, select edit, tap on the pic of the icon, then select ADWTheme Icon Packs, and choose 'ADW.Elegent' (in the second row of icons, just press one of the black ones (its not black its translucent)... Then press OK and your icon will still be on the dock but invisible, leaving only the Bamf ICON dock logo

FYI... the reason I have an all white wallpaper is because the ICON dock has a little bit of white around its edges...

I'm running dreamkernel 2.5.0 & got speedtweak going on normal mode. Haven't had any issues so far

awesome rom no problems whats so ever so far. wish someone would figure out the voicemail problems though, but thats been the case with every rom

where did you find dreamkern 2.5.0 ? i cant find anything higher than 2.4 ???

There was a link on one of the later pages of the thread on xda, not sure which one though. I kinda stumbled onto it while I was looking at the thread to see if there was a newer version than 2.3.6 or 2.4. It's been solid for me so far, I was using it while running the HybridTh3ory ROM & is working great so far on SkyRaider. Hope you can find it!

Do NOT flash custom kernels with this ROM! SkyRaider has said that any kernel that includes a boot.img file (all of them so far) will screw up "more than you know". See post #78 here

I want everyone to try every ROM at least once... that being said... I have to refrain from certain comments about kernels.... this is a very good ROM... there is no such thing as a perfect ROM because we all have different preferences

Thats why I try almost every ROM for at least 48 hrs, I want to see the good, the bad, and the ugly the main reason I am here is to try and help everyone out... so the more I know about 'said' ROMs, the more I can help.
