Same here ... I've never had luck with auto restore, and I can't remember a ROM that I was able to get Google to auto restore apps on a consistent basis without having to do it myself.

Once I get it installed, I note any issues I'm having here.

Unfortunately I do remember one that did restore my apps... CM7 1.5.2 did it, and it shocked me that I did not have to manually download all those apps again.

Installed this morning and so far so good. Had to download the new market app as that didn't seem to be updating.

The attitudes of the guys over at team bamf is really starting to get under my skin the fact that they restarted the thread just because of to many questions... That's all in going to say.

I read through the original thread and it seemed to be just a lot of "I'ma stay up all night until a link is posted!" There were some questions from people who had gotten it through the Twitter link, but it was really more of a back and forth about getting a link up, discussion over Chingy's contribution or lack thereof, and some XDA links. I understand why they closed it until a full link was posted ago, and I guess now they have a clean slate to better address issues.

so far so good, im loving it and im definitely gonna stick with this for a while... GPS locks on quick, no problems answering the phone from the lock screen or when im playing with it.. im not someone who uses my video camera a whole lot but i tried it and it seems that the audio on it is fine.. my phone didnt have a full charge when i installed it and i went out for a little bit and had it on 3g and it seemed the battery i was getting from it was really good. definitely a daily driver... there is only 1 skin tho, but i use the default skin anyway, cant wait til themes come out for it!

only thing i see that may be wrong with it is that it has the old market and its not updating to the new one, but from what i understand many of ppl like the old one?

First, issue for me... I tried to sign into an app... I had the Wifi on, but needed info from the app to sign into my Wifi... every time I opened the app to sign in it brought up my wifi and even though I clicked on the Do not use Wifi, right after I clicked that I was thrown back to the home screen... tried this several times, finally turned off Wifi (even though I like leaving it on when I have it on)... then was able to actually log into the app to get my Wireless code, then started Wifi and logged in... it was painful, but it should not work that way.

Last issue... if you turn on or off the 3D Rosie Launcher... your device will flash that component, and Reboot... ON or OFF... and you loose all your widgets and shortcuts.

Just what I was going to say... I'm downloading it right now... just trying to find the MD5Sum code to be sure I've got a good download.

Anyone seen it???

Wiped again... there is some desktop backup, it says it is experimental for Sense 3.0... I did not try it. LauncherPro has the same backup/restore of desktop settings (love it).

I missed my CM7 so much I'm going back... after I turn ON my Navigation app and get a GPS lock.

Why is so many complaining because this build may not be perfect. everyone knows this is the first build to integrate so many options into one rom, development of something of this level wouldn't be simple and of course there is going to be a few things to iron out, so far seems smooth and I appreciate all BAMFs work...

Wiped again... there is some desktop backup, it says it is experimental for Sense 3.0... I did not try it.

I thought I read one of the BAMF guys stating that this backup/restore SHOULD be able to preserve widgets/shortcuts/etc but I haven't tried it yet. If it doesn't, it's a pretty big drawback, but hopefully it works as billed (or I'm completely wrong and never read what I thought I did).

From a post at BAMF -

backup and restore of home screens built into the bamf settings menu works great. backed them up right before restored a backup and the restore took about 2 seconds. It was really quick. Widgets and icons went back to where they were before I restored the backup

So far everything seems stable so far, the only thing that I noticed was that the Mobile Hotspot app locks device if I attempt to activate it, has anyone noticed this or seen a work around?
