I carried my S1 in my pockets, back pack, coat pockets, etc.. same with my Droid for the past week and never had any issues. I think if you get something under the screen its a warranty issue because the screen wasn't sealed correctly.

No one lives in a dust free room.

Yeah, I've got a piece of dust/dirt on the very edge of the screen on the right side. Really irritating and hopefully it doesn't get any worse. Has anyone had to return their Droid for this problem?

can someone post pictures please?

As far as dust at the edge of the screen is concerned why don't you guys use a papers edge to take it out? Also I don't know how the dust can get UNDER the screen thats why I'd like to see some pictures.

Where else is a person supposed to carry the phone?? I mean leather cases don't really suit everybody..

That is true, I often find that a leather case is just absurd. I can't believe people buy these items. Who wants a convenient way to reach your phone without fumbling through your pockets for stuff? I think a purse will suit these non-case users just fine.

I can imagine that not NEARLY as many people will have this problem as people did with the original Storm. The Storm had an unreasonably large gap between the screen and the phone. No phone is COMPLETELY sealed, and even after time some of the most protected phones can sometimes get a small amount of dust under the screen. I've even seen this on the iPhone a couple times.

Any device can get dust under the screen. While none of my iPhones have had it happen I did have a streak of like 3 or 4 HTC Touch Pros with it out of the box. Safe to say they all went straight back to the store and I bailed on HTC.

If only it were that easy. I meant that the dust was on the very edge under the screen itself, right before the black border. Sorry I should have specified:eek: I might be able to post some pictures later on if you want.
