List of nexus 7 2013 problems

I have a Zagg the blutooth keyboard and it connects to my Nexus 7, however you can't do anything with it. It's disappointing and I hope Google fixes this. I've had the no input issue as well but normally just going back to the home screen fixes it for me. I use SwiftKey too and have seen the extra buttons pressed glitch. Other than those things it works great!

UPDATE- So I have a blutooth keyboard that was for the HP TouchPad ($30 on firesale heck yeah!) and it works fine with the Nexus 7. I guess its just a Zagg issue, but i would prefer to use the Zagg keyboard with the Nexus 7.

there is a known conflict with some keyboards.. provided you are rooted.. there is an easy fix just done by renaming one of the keyboard layout files... do search.. sorry.. can't get exact info for you
on that note... follow up from another post, turned off Bluetooth, GPS instantly works correctly, tells me it is a software conflict... Google, bang the rocks together guys

This is a joke! I'm on my third tablet now due to touch screen issues.
First came from Google Play
Second from Best Buy
Now I just got home and gonna try out my 3rd one (also from Best Buy but different location.... don't know what else to try).

Edit: Works perfect out of the box. Zooming maps perfectly. Now gonna try to update the SW and check again.... this is the same story with everyone else
Edit 2: Same freaking thing!!!!!!!!!! I hate you Google for not giving us feedback! If I knew it was purely SW I wouldn't have been replacing it

Nope. Out of the box great from bb first day introduced and even got $30 off with that staples coupon that no longer exists. It is ann amazing tablet and far surpasses my ipad mini in every way. Its 1000 percent better than the N71.

Yes there are some serious touch screen issues with some of the new tablets. Some were fine until upgrading to the new build JSS15J. Mine is running perfect. Tried multi touch tests etc. I'm not experiencing any of the issues out there. Purchased on the 26th from best buy. This thing Is a beast.

AT&T HTC One MoDaCo.Switch Beta 8
Nexus 7 2013 Unlocked Root + TWRP
Chromecast

I'm on build JSS15J since I got it two weeks ago. My touch screen is perfect. My GPS works perfectly too. I have zero screen bleed and no bad pixels. There are no cosmetic defects.

I attribute this to not eating red meat and plenty of fresh fruit.

New (random?) reboot while recording a video and tapping to do a still capture. Will try to repeat it.
Edit: of course I can't recreate it. Guess I'll call it random for now.

I have a 2012 Nexus 7 and am getting the nexus 7 2 for my birthday in October. Will i be able to transfer all my data using backup and restore and computer/ Bluetooth transfers or will all my app data be gone? (Using nexus 7 now with Swift key 3 tablet!)

Just make sure that you have checked "Back up my data" under "Settings" and "Backup & Restore".

When I went from my Nexus 7 (2012) to my Nexus 7 (2013) it was as if the only change was the incredible new hardware. All my apps, people directory, Calendar were restored as soon as I did my Google login.

Of course all my data (pictures, music, etc.) was there because I keep everything backed up in the cloud.

All my passwords and confidential files are stored in the cloud using LastPass password manager.

Changing to my new Nexus 7 was totally painless and swift.

I had the wireless charging issue on my first one, exchanged it 2 days ago from BB. Touch screen seems to be acting really weird, real jumpy, slight screen blink too. I'll probably end up returning this one too. First one didn't have any other issue other than the wireless charging on the Samsung Qi pad.

the only bug i see is the touchscreen isn't very sensitive, takes a few touches to register. other than that i love everything about this tablet. the lcd & battery life and the best ive seen.

No one's GPS is working... It's very obvious if you research the problem, or investigate the problem yourself "properly".

I just purchased the Nexus 7 tonight, got it all set up and then it prompted me to upgrade the software. Ever since the upgrade and reboot, I keep getting the same error message over and over again. "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped." I can't do much of anything on it. Does anyone know how to fix this, or do I just need to take it back to Staples tomorrow?

You can try wiping dalvik-cache, but it may be easier to just do a factory reset (obviously back up anything important including the virtual sdcard)

settings->backup&reset->factory data reset

I retuned mine to Best Buy today. The screen is beautiful, but things just work real screwy. I found no way to get push notifications for my other mailboxes that I have filters setup for. The native music app and or clock gives no ability to set a sleep timer. Many apps seem to like to go back and fourth out of landscape mode. I could go on and on. I just decided I would return and wait in an iPad mini with retina.

I think if I had never had the iPad experience I wouldn't be so picky about it, but honestly for me user experience wise with apps the iPad is still the better choice. Granted specs wise you got to give the nod to the New Nexus 7.

If by" investigate properly" you mean use it in my car to replace my car GPS, I would never do that nor would I want to.

The bottom line is that my GPS works with all my apps perfectly and my "Test GPS" app never stops working. I use Maps, Sensorly, Google Earth, and have GPS turned on in a great many other apps.

My GPS works and your saying it doesn't work has not stopped it from working.

I have bought a nexus7 from amazon.com and it will reach a friend on 16th in USA who'll bring it to my country. but reading the touch screen, reboot and the gps issues i am really concerned as it'll be so difficult to return. Can you please help me to know the following things.
1. What percentage of nexus 7 are defected.
2. Is this likely to be a Software issue or is it a hardware issue?
3. Does buying from different stores means difference in chances of getting a defected piece. How is amazon.
4. If it does end up defected what should I do. (Send it back to Amazon from abroad?)
5. Will i be safe?
I really do hope that my nexus isn't defected as i've spent 2 months saving on it. I am really concerned. Will like some feedback. Peace
