List your 5 top must have App's for the HTC One

I'm new to android and I've looked for the default launcher to create the shortcut but can't find it. Not listed in my app list. I'd like to create a link to it. Can you tell me how? I'm missing it somewhere.

Thanks!

I like Unity Launcher

I have adw.ex launcher but the process is similar with most launchers.

The following will create a shortcut widget. Just tap and it'll bring you to blinkfeed, tap home when finished and you'll be back in your custom launcher

1. Long press home screen
2. Create a custom shortcut
3. Choose activities
4. Choose htc sense
5. Choose htc sense launcher
6. Name your shortcut

Done

If anyone has troubles with a specific launcher let me know. I'll install it and give you specific instructions

Here is my list!

1) Nova Launcher (Bought this!) Good bye stupid blinkfeed!
2) Yelp! Love this app a lot. :)
3) Swiftkey & The Google Keyboard.
4) GSame Battery Monitor (will not need after 4.2.2)
5) Amazon app store for the free app of the day!

Short and sweet.

You can use blinkfeed. Create a shortcut to stock launcher and delete all screens except blinkfeed. When you're done just hit home and you're back to nova

Thank you! I've been torn because I prefer Nova but wanted to also use BlinkFeed. This is perfect! Now it just needs G+ integration.

My top 5 (in no particular order)

1) Nova Launcher (prime)
2) Android Central App (its amazing how often I come to the new version of this app)
3) Mint
4) 1Weather
5) SwiftKey

Yea I like it better this way. Cool because you don't have to keep blink as a whole screen. Just an on screen widget

In no particular order:

ColorNote
DGT GTD

For some reason, our company is to cheap to replace a 60w light bulb!! I would do it myself...but I have replaced it the last 3 times myself and I isn't doin' it no mo' !!!
I can so relate, having similiar issues myself....
Gonna try that Power Toggles app too - thanks!

My top apps, that haven't been listed yet.

1. Orbot
2. Wolfram Alpa
3. Voxer
4. Auto Screen On
5. You Don't Know Jack

-Pandora
-MyFitnessPal - lost 50lbs in 5 months, no excercise whatsoever
-Our Groceries - shopping list syncing with girlfriend
-Dock Clock - since HTC got rid of night alarm clock in Sense 5
-Colornote - Cloud backed up notes

It changes from user to user. I would include these:

Falcon Pro. The best Twitter client for Android. Only thing lacking is real push notifications.

Nova Launcher Prime or other launcher if you want more customizable options than the stock one.

EZ Weather. One of the best interfaces, free, no ads and very good looking widgets.

Notifications Toggle. At least until we get 4.2.2, you can put nice toggles on the notification shade. Other worth mentioning is Power Togggles.

Press or other RSS Reader, specially if you are using a third-party launcher or don't like BlinkFeed.

Nova Launcher Prime
Out Of Milk Pro
Android Central (Phil, give me some free ****)
Weatherbug Elite
Poweramp

There are so many more, but I use those 5 every day when not using Sense5

My 5 would be:
1. Wakelock Detector - Great to see what apps are running in the background
2. Power Toggles - Nice and convenient toggles in Notification dropdown
3. Bacon Reader - Simple Reddit app
4. AirDroid - Easy transfer of data from the One to PC
5. Google Voice - Free texting (in the US) and cheap international calls. It even works with the stock phone dialer to reroute international calls automatically through Google Voice

Love these threads...always find a few gems.

1. Anyone tried the Everything Home Launcher? I'm using it and really like how it categorizes apps in folders. Pretty slick and free!

I did try it briefly...but uninstalled till I have a little more time to play with it - liked what I saw initially.

How could these have not been mentioned?

1. Reddit Is Fun
2. Music Paradise by AF Inc
3. FoxFi
4. TubeMate
5. VidTrim Pro (for shrinking videos down to size to send them via MMS)
