Live Wallpaper -Windy Weather Alternative for S4 - Non Root

Hi, I have an S3 and love the livewallpaper titled, Windy Weather. Based on the current weather conditions, it automatically updates so when I wake my S3 it has rain drops if it's raining, or fog, or sunny skys (each change but the windmill stays). I do not know why on earth Sammy would not include this amazing live wallpaper on the S4 and I do not root or anything so wanted to know if any has some real good alternatives they use or know about? I am getting the S4 as a replacement because my S3 is donezo. Any info will be greatly appreciated! And please no comments on wait for S5 lol.

Since it is a signed Samsung wallpaper, I wonder if it can be pulled from the S3, and placed on the S4?

That's a great idea... I never thought to see if we could plug in the device and find the live wall paper file, and then plug in S4 and put it in the same folder?

Can anyone confirm this can/or has been done?

I would do exactly what you said. A PC may be able to see any hidden file easier than going through the phone. Although, at worst, what is going to happen? It won't work?

Although, if that wallpaper is related to Accuweather, I wonder if you can find it on their site as well? Or maybe it may come with their app or widget?

Ok, so I plugged in my phone to my PC and looked everywhere and I can't see the windy weather file! I am sure it's hidden or something... I tried seeing if I could un-hide it but I can't. Any other sugguestions? I now have the S4 and it's cool but def miss this live wallpaper already! Plus my live news ticker! What the heck is up with Sammy removing features that people like myself, love?

Go the the Play store and install "3D weather live wallpaper" by Maddy
It's almost identical to the S3 windy weather wallpaper.
I have searched everywhere for windy weather and this is almost 100% identical, I think the rain may be fall faste nd I'm not sure if the raindrops will roll down the screen.....I'm still waiting for it to rain.
I have it on my S4 and am I love it

I just got my S4 a few hours ago, I noticed that it didn't have the windy weather live wallpaper. I started digging and found this [APP / LIVE WALLPAPER] Windy Weather - xda-developers. Suprasb pulled it from an S3. I installed on my stock S4 and it works. Only Hiccup is that it doesn't come with the matching weather/clock widget. I tried pulling the one from my S2 but it wouldn't install. I posted in the thread I linked but the poster hasn't posted in a few months.
Update- I pulled the widget apk from an S3 system dump. It doesn't install, I don't know anything about porting apps though.
Update (2)- To make the widget work your phone would have to be rooted and you would have to replace the standard weather/time widget with the older windy weather one. Until they find way around Knox this won't be a possibility.

Thanks! But I am non-rooted, do I just click the link? I am not sure how to transfer it to my s4?

All you do is click the link and download to your computer. Then plug your phone in and just copy to the phone memory. Once that is done just go to "My files" and look for the file and click on it to install.

Another wallpaper identical to the Windy Weather wallpaper is "WEATHER HD" by Gunner Games. This is also available in the Google Play store and is identical to Windy Weather. I have this on my S4 also. Just search in the Play Store or even just on Google for weather hd gunner games and you should find

Just wanted to personally thank you Dvin211 for finding that website and helping me! I installed the 2 live wallpapers and it looks so awesome! That was the only thing I really missed from the S4! I used to love Windy weather but now I am all about the ocean one that orig came with the S2! haha THANKS AGAIN!
