It drains your battery.

Live wallpapers are only active, using CPU cycles and power, wheñ they are on-screen. If you can't see it, it's not doing anything, using no power, just cached in memory.

There's have very little effect on the battery and cannot slow the phone when off-screen.

Android since v1.0. Linux user since 2001.

Yeah! they are really cool. You have to try my new Live Wallpaper called Scenes Live Wallpaper (I can't post links because I have less than 10 posts), it's in Google Play since today!
