lock screen light delay

hi all,

i know this probably is a dumb question so please excuse me.

I dont know about you guys but i have noticed that when i push the unlock button on the right side which brings up the lock screen. There seems to be a delay in the back light from when i push the button. it basically goes like this: push button - backlight is dim - then backlight turns on fully. and other times i push it and it goes straight to fully on no dim.

any ideas?

I've noticed that too, and my only assumption is that it takes a second or two to calibrate the brightness of your surroundings and adjusts the backlight accordingly. Now, if you don't have it set for auto brightness and it's at a specific set brightness level ... then that theory goes out the window haha. But since I have mine at auto brightness, that's what I think is the deal for me. I could be wrong though.
