Android Central Question

Someone please help I'm losing my mind. I've read every forum here's what's happening. This all started because my spotify would cut music off if I toggled out of the app. I realized then that my lock screen settings had somehow changed but there were no OS or app updates in the last month. So when I went into lock screen settings I found I couldn't change anything..

Phone is on standard mode (even toggled between easy and standard with no change)
Security is currently enabled
Phone has been restarted
I have cleared my security credentials
I have uninstalled and cleared spotify cache

Nothing seems to be working. Any idea why I still cant change lock screen settings or why spotify is still not able to run in the background?

Welcome to Android Central.

What phone, what version of Android, what carrier, is it managed by workplace IT department MDM?

I agree with Laura, most likely the Lock Screen options are locked out because of IT Corporate Policy app, such as Microsoft Intune or Company Portal.

Most likely your only option would be to completly remove the Corporate email account from your phone.

Carrier is Verizon. Phone is samsung s9 plus, android version 8.0 samsung experience 9.0. I'm not on a corporate account or login, this is a personal device

Thanks. I git this problem and indeed it was Compagny Portal that was blocking some options.
