Lock screen stock email widget

My count of unread emails is off by one, on the lock screen only. Even if I have no unread emails the widget shows (-1) when locked. The count is correct when unlocked. Any suggestions?

check your Email account via your computer to see if there is an unread email that isn't showing up on your phone. This solved the problem for me once.

all messages on phone, computer, & server have been read and the counter still reads (-1). Only on the Lock Screen. When I unlock the screen the counter is correct.

Problem fixed. Was able to figure out which email account was causing the widget to be off count. Delete / reinstalled that account and all is good.
