So today has been a disaster. I had to flash my phone back to froyo and then update to gingerbread and then rooted it. Everything was fine, I reinstalled using my backup root and titanium backup root. I noticed my screen password was not reenableed so I went to location and secruity and reenabled it. I did change the password slightly from what it prior to the flash. I tried it and it worked fine.

Now I shut off the phone and restarted it and now it's telling me I have "incorrectly drawn your unlock password x times." I'm positive I entered it correctly, I tried the previous one and none are working. For the record I'm using a numeric 4 digit number and not the slide pattern. There is a grey triangle with an exclamation point in the top left corner as well as the Lookout logo.

Any ideas? I'd REALLY rather not go thru resetting this thing AGAIN.

I did a search and I see some people mentioning entering in your google information. But I'm not seeing any type of prompt that would allow me to do that on the phone. It just locks up the phone for 30 seconds after 5 incorrect password inputs.

Don't know what happened so I did a hard reset. :( Still restoring and putting settings back to the way they were. Haven't tried putting the password back on. I'm wondering... at one point I did use the pattern password but that was a long time ago. Perhaps when I did the Titanium and My Backup restores it added that password AND the numeric password. And even though it was showing me the numeric password the underlying choice was the pattern. Otherwise I wouldn't see why it would say "you drew the pattern wrong" when punching in a numeric password.

The phone should prompt after you get locked out for 30 seconds to enter your google credentials but it only does it if you use the pattern lock. I don't see an option when I set it to numeric key as you have done or with the password option. If you don't find another way around it then you may have to hard reset the phone (give it the 3 finger salute and reset it that way).

If you need a lock and want a way to bypass it in emergency you may need to use the pattern lock to have that backup option.

Sorry I don't have better news.
