LOL i'm bricked? what to do now?

i was trying to wipe my internal sd card to default. i went into CWM i wiped the dalvik cached, wiped the sd card, wiped battery and then did factory reset and restarted.....but now my phone is stuck at the google logo wth....i can go back into CWM and i've tried wiping caches and factory reset again but once i try to start the nexus normally, it just goes back to staying stuck on this google logo.

what to do next? trying flashing factory rom? or is that too risky

how long did you let it sit? it can take a while on the first boot while the cache is rebuilt that you cleared. Give it about 10 min and if you still don't see it moving on then go look up WUGs Nexus Toolkit and get the latest version

That'll give you some options to restore it. The device isn't bricked, bricked means it is well a brick. I've been stuck there many many times and it's recoverable, albeit a little unnerving

Boot into the bootloader then flash the factory image. Easiest to do it using Nexus 4 toolkit. If the factory image isn't on Google site I and probably others have the file that can be shared.

Yea i did before you even posted that comment. i was just hesitant cause i thought it might mess up my nexus 4 even further so i took a chance and it worked.

anyway problem fixed, MOD PLEASE DELETE THREAD or lock it.

Doesn't brick at all. I had to do it once on my GNex when I accidentally wiped data and the sdcard.

That's not always true, you can do it but you really gotta try. I think if you erase the bootloader you are done, but I'm not testing that

bricking according to me is not knowing what you did and not know what to do!!!

bricking nexus is hard and would only happen with rare hardware/sw issues.
even if its boot looping all you have to have is enter fastboot mode.

Yeah I thought so too. The command that'll get you in trouble is like fastboot erase bootloader. If your device supports something like nvflash (and you've set it up if you have to) then you are good which is why some devices are labeled as unbrickable. Baring a hardware failure you can restore them. This is my understanding, I could be wrong.

I locked my bootloader then i unlocked it again and started the phone and it's stuck on the Nexus logo have i done something wrong?

I meant the boot loader is in the stock img. Google covered every possible way u can brick it. Most cases u can recover in recovery worst case is u have to Manually fast boot it

been reading that.
Seems if you do a "fastboot erase bootloader" and reboot before you flash a new one you're done

some guys at xda seem to confirm here How to format all of galaxy nexus memory - xda-developers but then someone else after them said it won't allow you to erase the bootloader, so who knows.

I'm really curious now if that's the case but I don't have the balls to try it.

U can flash a stock ROM with all those files included as far as I know
