Lollipop 5.0.2 update seems to have broken my wifi hotspot

Has anyone noticed their hotspot stop working?

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 on my laptop and everything was working fine but since the update, the laptop connects to the wifi but cannot connect to the internet.

Is anyone else suffering similar problems or is it just me?

I will have to test it with some other clients to be sure it is the hotspot but thought i would ask.

I am using a surface pro. Everything worked with all the pc updates, but after lollipop I can no longer connect wifi, or bluetooth, but I can still use direct usb tether.
