Lollipop 5.1.x Update?

Any news on the M8 getting 5.1.x anytime soon? Just curious as 5.0.2 seems to be have issues with lag. I have tried several things with no luck.

1) Cleared Cache
2) Factory Rest/Clear Cache
3) Factory Reset/minimal installs. All I did was did the stick software updates. No other applications installed.

In each of these cases I built things from scratch and did not restore from backup.

My guess is that it will come with Sense 7 update, which was said to be available around August.
Then, add carrier testing, etc... So maybe Q3 / Q4 of this year...

I've just started using my nexus 5 again to see what it's like on the latest software and I'm amazed to find it runs much better than my one m8. Back on kit kat when the one m8 was new it overall offered a better experience than the nexus I found but now not so sure. I don't think HTC did the best job with lollipop so hope they improve it on the next update

T-Mobile actually tends to be among the first to put the updates out. It's AT&T and VZW that take forever. Most custom ROMs have the update released before AT&T and VZW manage to put out an update - and at least one of them usually botches it pretty badly.
