Lollipop on Verizon S5 still sucks

So I downloaded the update back in January and had all the issues - even after a cache clear and complete reset and rebuild. Down-reved to 4.4 and had my phone back. I had been avoiding the daily pestering for an update that started again a few weeks ago. I wasn't paying attention the other day and installed the update by mistake.

It still is terrible! As I type this on my (now laggy) phone, it is hot to the touch and the battery is draining faster then a '66 Mustang gas tank.

I can't believe it has been 5 months and Verizon and Samsung haven't fixed this. When I get back home time to reset to Kit Kat again.

I have lost faith in Samsung over this.

From your post it is clear that you do not know that Samsung have nothing to do with Verizon's version of Lollipop. See #1.6 of 40 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide

You also do not seem know that the latest Verizon update, OC4, is still the same prehistoric firmware that they first launched with. See post #1 of Lollipop release. Massive update!!!

Perhaps you do not also know that there are 40 different versions of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and that to-date there have been more than 300+ Lollipop firmware releases and updates.

However, time and again, we see one minority, carrier hybrid variant in one country, dominating the complaints thread... VERIZON!

As the 40 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide states in the first sentence...

"Think that everyone's Samsung Galaxy S5 is the same as yours...
Think again!

I downgraded to Lollipoop on day 1 and hated it. 100% cpu usage 24/7 and alarms not waking me up for work pissed me off.

Was driving home last night and the install notice popped up and I pressed it accidentally. This install is much better. Still not sure I will keep it but it gives me some hope that I won't have deal with the "upgrade" reminders until Android 6.0.

S5 Vzw customer here and I think it's frigging awesome. Great battery life and no lagginess to speak of.
I may have just gotten lucky with the hardware and firmware revs.... Or maybe it's because I did the factory reset after the update... Not sure, but good luck...

TOTALLY SUCKS would be more accurate. I have had so many weird issues since the latest release I couldn't even begin to list them. I called Verizon to add my voice to the dissatisfied customer list and basically they said they are in the same boat. The rep I spoke with told me that upon update her Note 4 mixed up all of her caller ID photos! How ridiculous is that! So Android developers as a former developer and QA engineer I have just one question: DID YOU ACTUALLY TEST THIS POS?

Lollipop has turned my Note 4 into a battery sucking brick. Battery life pre-lollipop was 40% by 11PM and that is with _very_ frequent use, now I am 25% by 4PM. I had never had to do a restart, power down battery pull or full cache clear until lollipop. Now I have to do this at least once every 3 days.

Did you guys call it lollipop because you knew it was a POS before it went out the door?!

FIX IT AND FIX IT FAST before you fulfill Apple's dream to crush Android and Samsung's marketshare.
