Got the update via wifi this morning. At 858 MB it takes about an hour to download and install.

Oh dear God no.....

I have an Amazon UK unlocked.
Right now I really don't want it.
I don't expect it for a while.

But Madd, just think about all the new screenshots you could take. ....

I installed the official polish version. Quite nice looking update but some functional issues.

1) I notice the alarm clock no longer sites on the lock screen which is a little silly.

2) Not so site I like the new notification system, pretty but send to have lost a lot of functionality from Samsung's own implementation.

3) I was looking at the priority settings and it seems you can't set any time schedule or an easy way to activate it.

On the whole I am sure these things will either get updated or I will get used to them but I will need a few days to see how the battery is.

I also wonder what your first impressions with performance is.
Someone complained that some of his apps and games did not work after upgrading to Lollipop. Is it really?

The only two apps that I have noticed that don't work is Virgin TV Anywhere and my corporate email. TV Anywhere does not seem to be compatible with Lollipop yet and the email version is quite old so I just need to publish a Lollipop compatible version to our MDM.

Performance overall is pretty good I have not noticed any lag and it does appear to be smoother. Although battery life seems to be going bonkers I was down to 20% after 8 hours today but will give it a few days to bed in before looking into it further.

I upgraded about three hours ago whilst still plugged into the charger. Three hours later and off the charger my phone is down to 50% battery. The new battery status monitor with lollipop doesn't seem to tell me what is draining it as the highest item is the screen at 4%. I'll charge it up again in a few hours, do a reboot and then see how the battery is.

I upgraded my S5 by the way as the update came out for this today also.

Also saw some advice about wiping the system cache which I have done but does not seem to make a difference. So I'll do a full charge and leave my phone in idle for an hour to see how rapidly it drains.

Everything else seems o.k. with lollipop do far.

Battery drain seems to be 10% an hour without using the thing much.

Also getting a odd message on reboot where it says Android is upgrading and optimised 1 app which seems a bit worrying.

I have tested my phone today and it drains at about 4% per hour when it's not doing anything. So the clearing of the cache seems to work. So it looks like it'll last a day now which is what it was doing before the upgrade.

Also the TV Catchup App does not work any more as it thinks there is no internet connection on my phone. They need to fix that.

Will not upgrade for at least 3 months.

Every update brings worse battery and ever worse-er privacy. Just some silly decoration will not get me to upgrade.

4% per hr idling is way too much, should be 0.5 to 1% per hr.

It was getting updates from the bbc and a few other things as well. I have wifi, gps, bluetooth and a few other things going on as well. This is how it was behaving beforehand.

Anyway, twice now it has been really slow after a few hours on and then the phone decides to reboot itself. Doesn't seem to be too stable this OS.

Lollipop 5.0 has seriously got battery issues. Using lollipop 5 since released on my SM-N900 and probably they released 5.1 so soon? Any others with same opinion

I took the plunge and did a factory reset. I am getting about 16 hours on one charge now which is less than before Lollipop. I was getting 24 hours on kit kat.

Still getting the message about contacts stopping at least once a day.

Hopefully they'll sort out these issues with the next update.

I got lollipop on my note 3 n9005 factory unlocked vodafone albania. Everything went sweet. Couldn't wait for this moment and im enjoying all the time

Checked for any more software updates since I upgraded and there was another one about 320mb in size. I have downloaded and installed this update too and my batteris lasting longer. Says I have 2 days left on the current charge now. Still says the OS version is Android 5.0.
