That's exactly how I feel. Apples not about going forward and breaking new ground it's about ease of use. I need crazy new features that sure I wouldn't use everyday but by god I have them. I havent been wowed by the iPhone in a long time(outside of jailbreaking). That dosnt negate the fact I still fear switching to android. I'm afraid the softwares clunky anthe hardwares cheap. This is all allegation for I have never owned an android device. But apple has one so bland to me. I'm tired of scowering the jailbreak community to add bells an whistles to my phone.
The fear of the OS/software being clunky and the hardware being cheap isn't a current assessment any more. From what I gather, that would be true in the beginning, but there is NOTHING clunky or cheap about the Samsung Galaxy S3! I've been one to root and mod my phones, but honestly, I've just not had the desire to with this phone! It's just so great!
I spoke with a buddy of mine this weekend who I really thought was an Apple Fan Boy too, but was surprised to find out he is an Android Junkie like myself! He said he was considering the iPhone 5 as he has the 4 right now as his main phone. He said he has decided against the iPhone 5, as from what he was reading, it's jsut not going to be enough of a difference from the 4. Plus I've had my best friend jump from Apple to Android and hasn't looked back once!

Wow that all sounds amazingly intuitive. I have been doing some more reading on the s3 and reading a lot of people getting phantom cracks on thier screen and body an ports after a few weeks. Most seem to be owners of the white gs3. Anyone have any experience with that? I know the s3 isn't as strongly built as the iPhone so I'm wondering how long it'll last even with a case.
I woudn't put a lot in store by that. Yeah, there may be some people having issues, but that doesn't mean it's the bulk of the owners. After all, the VAST majority of people, if they're happy with something, won't come to a forum and post how happy they are with their product...whatever it is. And as far as how strongly the S3 is built in comparison to the iPhone, honestly, I've felt both and I just don't feel the difference at all. Yeah, the case on the iPhone feels more clunky to me, so in that case, maybe it can take more punishment, but I've NEVER had any of my phones without a case. They make some AMAZINGLY thin cases for the S3, which adds almost NO size to the phone. I'm currently using a Ringke SlimLite case on my S3. People who see my phone don't even realize it's a case until I show 'em.
