Looks like I found an ugly bug in the HTC one W/ Sense5

to be perfectly honest, I think it's sad when people have to resort to childishness on these forums. They arent here for name calling, arguing or taking the p*ss out of people. So perhaps show a little respect to others, the mods, mobile nations in general and most of all yourself. If you have nothing constructive to say and this thread is as much as joke as you say, then there's really no need for you to be saying anything here and i'm sure the mods would agree. Saves them a lot of work getting rid of stupidity in the threads.

I didn't mean to sound like I was being that way but some of these posts and claims are exaggerations in my opinion. To each their own though, if it bothers him that much, I hope he finds a solution

Dammit...my phone must be broke because it doesn't even do that! I'm on Nova launcher, and it goes from invisible to opaque, and stays that way. Doesn't do it on Sense either...At least not like the videos.

I watched the whole video expecting the guy to talk about a bug. What the hell am I missing?

OK. I was getting tired of reading so many posts.
Here is my take on it. The HTC One was re-designed with one drastic change in mind. Yes. It's called blinkfeed. By default, when you go to blickfeed, the status bar is matching the rest of the background during blinkfeed. As blinkfeed was set as default home screen, the transition would not appear to be there, or at least it will transition from transparent to semi transparent notification bar. Now if you change your home screen, well, that does not change the behavior of the notification bar accordingly. As the phone is unlocking and the home screen (not blinkfeed) is coming up, the bar still thinks that blinkfeed is going to show up, thus why the bar changes to semi-transparent for a moment, then it realizes that you are not on blinkfeed, then it reverts back to transparent..... I guess they forgot to add that scenario when they were writing the code.

oh... almost forgot. The title should not say "bug", it's simply an 'oversight' on the engineer's part. It was designed and coded to behave that way.

seems like there are an abnormal amount of fandroids out tonight, cleanROM is downloading and I'll possibly have a bug free version of sense 5 up and running shortly. I don't buy a $500 phone for buggy transitions, especially a transition that is the first thing you see!

ok dude. I work AT APPLE. I LOVE APPLE. I LOVE iOS. I am an apple fanboy but this is THE most ridiculous post ever.
iOS 7 is a BUG-fest. My screen glitches (graphically) a few times per week and this is on a week old iPhone 5S and on my iPhone 5.
iMessage is a complete mess right now. it sometimes works, sometimes it just doesn't. We get 50 genius bar appointments per day for iMessage not working.
Apple admitted there is a bug in iMessage and are looking for a way to correct it. Maps, although better today than when released, were a complete disaster.
Overall, is iOS smooth and efficient? Yes. but there have been and will be way worse bugs/glitches than what is in that video.
I had to watch the video at least 4 times to even see what you were talking about and as one of the Mods on here pointed out, you NEVER noticed it until watching some UK version review?
Get real dude. Not a single computer device or desktop is 100% glitch free.
Your "new" rom isn't going to be 100% glitch free.
Steve Jobs asked me to ask you to Never use his name again in Any conversation, ever.

Sooo thank you for bringing this up. I appreciate this function er bug now. My lock screen is very light by the status bar. I can't see my weather temp. Once I unlock, it darkens and it draws my attention to it. Voila, I see all of the notifications. I appreciate it.

The person above is correct, it is because of blinkfeed, it matches it perfectly.

additions included were camera fix, and ability to add music to your zoey videos.

I was about to back out of this thread when i noticed this, and immediately tried it! Much appreciated, wasn't aware this was included in the update.
Brings Zoes to that next level!
