Losing 3G after disconnecting USB Tether

I intermittently have to restart my Thunderbolt because it loses 3G service after disconnecting the USB tether when using it in Internet Connection Mode hooked up to my PC. I've tried a few things turning stuff on and off but nothing seems to work except restarting the phone. pretty annoying. any known fixes for this or anything?

Try and use the charge only connection. That works correctly on mine and not problem after disconnect

Can't do charge only i use it as my pc primary internet service right now so it has to be hooked up in internet pass through mode. so nobody else having this problem or any idea how to fix this problem???
