Lost 4G after upgrade

Salutations. I live in an area that has Sprint 4G, and because of this, I opted to upgrade to the Galaxy Nexus, which came pre-installed with ICS. When the rollout came for JB, my phone downloaded it but wouldn't install it. I subsequently decided to root the phone and installed Codename Jelly Bean (initially v. 3.3 but now have 3.5). The problem, as my subject line implies, is that I lack 4G now. If I am away from my wifi connection, I only see 3G listed, when prior to my fiddling, I had 4G. I have the phone set for LTE/CDMA, and I tried switching from this to CDMA and back with no success and a reboot doesn't seem to help either. I also updated the profile and the PLS.

My question is whether I need to download and install a radio update, or do I need to find some other tweak. I have thought about trying to revert to the stock, but because I'm already rooted, why?

Thanks for the assistance in advance.

Sadly, I realized today while on break at substitute teaching position that my phone does get 4G in some locations, and I think that, if I squint my eyes and stand on my head, I may get it at my house. Got to love how signals aren't consistent even in a town where you should have complete coverage. Good think that I have wifi at home.
