I rooted my thunderbolt recently and everything went fine. I normally keep 4G off to save battery life but tried to use it recently and it wouldn't come on, just stayed on 3G. I don't know if I flashed the wrong radio or what. I would like to update the radio if I need to to get 4G back but I'm unsure what to use. The official OTA MR2 radio according to xda developers is 1.39.00.0627r but it is only for froyo/gingerbread ROMs and I don't know what I have. When I rooted, I kept the stock ROM. I am including a picture of my software screen, can someone tell me if I have froyo/gingerbread and if it is safe for me to flash this radio?

Thanks.

Scott

If you've rooted your device and nothing else then you have the old Froyo stock ROM and the old MR1 radio. A radio that says it's a Froyo/Gingerbread radio than it works with both types of ROMs.

You have to use a Radio that is compatible with the ROM you're running.

After the root process, you'll be running what is known as MR1 with a Froyo radio.

All Subsequent builds, including MR2 Froyo and the GB leaks, require an "MR2" radio.

*IF* you're using the incorrect radio however, you will not be able to get ANY data, 3G or 4G. So if you're only having issues with 4G, this may not specifically be your issue.
