Lost Hspa+ after kit kat update

So I did the update and now I lost my access to the hspa+ data.

Lte and 3g only.

Anyone know how to get hspa back?

You have LTE but in some locations where you can't get LTE you used to get HSPA+ but now you only get 3G? Is that the scenario?

It sounds like an issue with your mobile network's APN settings perhaps. You could look at a friend's phone that is working and see if there's different settings that what you currently have or you could take your phone into your carrier too and have them verify that all is set as it should be.

Are you sure you actually lost HSPA+ data, or is it that the "H" or "H+" no longer shows in the status bar? Since the 4.4 update, I only see "3G" or "LTE" in the status bar, but if you check in "About Phone" then "Status", you should see that the Mobile Network Type is actually "HSPA" or "HSPA+" when "3G" is displayed in the status bar.

It shows hspa not hspa+ and the speed drops down to like 3 megs.

Not necessarily a big deal but there are parts of my area that LTE is not covered and hspa+ is nice to have because it's plenty fast.

After the update mines says EDGE in the Mobile Network Type ..it did this after i did the KitKat update .I have a VZW Note 3 with a T-mobile sim card in it .The data sucks horribly now .is there a fix for it ?
