Lost SuperUser Privileges After Installing Latest Cyanogen

I waited forever to root my DROID and when I finally do, and after installing the latest Cyanogen Mod, I lose all of the SuperUser privileges. Why? How can I get the SuperUser privileges back?

A.) Is this normal?
B.) Do I simply need to flash SPRecovery?
C.) Is there a way around using SPRecovery since it would render ROM Manager Premium (from the Market) useless until I flash back to ClockworkMod Recovery?

I can't even change the Boot Animation back to the DROID Incredible boot animation anymore. Is it just me or does this suck?

Also, I can't find anything regarding getting the actual CPU speeds after I installed SetCPU. Can anyone help me out with this please.

Well first of all, and this is simply my opinion and help to you, I would use ROM Manager to install CM anyway. In that case, yes, you would have to flash ClockworkMod Recovery. I've never used SPRecovery (not to my knowledge anyway, I've experimented with a lot of things) so I don't know if that's the cause of you losing SU.

Also, I haven't tried the new CM but I know on the previous version SetCPU was rendered oseless because the only way to overclock with CM base ROMs was if you downloaded a kernel.

Thanks for your help! Soon if I understand you correctly, I flash an use CM not SPRecovery. Is that correct? Can you suggest what kernel to use for overclocking please.

Forgive me, I'm new to the rooting and Modding. I'm trying to determine whether I should keep my DROID or go ahead with the EVO 4G I have pre-ordered and willow receive next week.

Yes, flash ClockworkMod instead of SPRecovery when using ROM manager.

As far as kernels, its totally up to you dude. Different strokes for different folks. Some like to push the limit to 1.2ghz. Some play it cool at 800mhz. My max is 1ghz. I would go with what feels safe and if that's not fast enough for you, upgrade.
