Love the handwriting

There's no good way to send a text FROM the watch, but the handwriting is way cool--and accurate.

I'd like the Samsung engineer who was assigned this task, to know that it was appreciated.

well, let's face it, handwriting one letter at a time like that or the old fashioned T9--it may get the job done, but inherently there's no good way to text from something that small.

I just wish the handwriting functionality was available every time the Samsung keyboard pops up. Aside from text messages, that screen doesn't seem to be available most other places when I'm looking for it.

But the T9 responsiveness is extremely fast. I wouldn't bother with a long text, but for short ones, it's excellent.

Obviously you have to be precise when pressing the keys though. A good tip if you need a particular character, say the comma symbol, is hold down the key which will bring up the different options, then drag down without lifting and this enables you to see the characters and you can move left or right to select. Otherwise, the options may be obscured by your finger.
Another useful thing I have found is that after typing your text, you can preview it by pressing the back button. If it's OK, press the send symbol. If it isn't, go back in and edit. This is far better than trying to scroll back through your text to check it's OK.

Has anyone been having issues with the handwriting feature? Just bought a Galaxy Watch and the handwriting feature repeatedly turns itself off, forcing me to go into the settings to activate it again over and over. I tried updating all software and factory resetting the watch, but the issue still persists. Any ideas?

I've been having the same issue too (received my samsung watch May 15, 2019). The only work around I have is to keep the "Settings" application open the entire time... I can't find another solution.
